The area around Macarthur Mall would look just a little bit different but for a group of Old Dominion University students. If you step outside of Macarthur Mall, and follow the path of the Tide track to where it curves, you will find yourself facing Monticello Arcade. It was set to be condemned in the mid-seventies. In it’s proposed last year of existence, ODU students set to work upon photographing the ornate, three story structure. They found dissent in the building’s residents to the demolition, and publication of the photos in the local newspaper galvanized opposition to it's destruction. As you can see, Monticello Arcade still stands, and indeed, is still busy today. On May 21, 1975, it joined the National Register of Historic Places.

okay so i went to zumies yesterday (didn’t buy anything, just wanted to get out of victoria’s secret while my parents were n there bc i was feeling hella dysphoric, but anyways) i just love the clothes they have so i walked over to the men’s section and i’m looking through the button downs and like putting them up to my chest to try to judge the size and one of the workers comes over and of course welcomes me to zumies and asks what brings me in today and so of course i say just browsing (kind of there so i could browse the men’s section w/o my parents hounding me over to the girl’s section) and they said “alright! well my name is adam, and if you need any help let me know!” and i swear to god they gave off the most “i know you’re ftm but im gonna protect you and make sure you’re okay” kinda vibe and it made me so fucking happy. i know you aren’t supposed to care about genders etc etc but i swear they were either nb or ftm also and i just felt so happy with them just sorta watching my back and i’m just upset i had to scoot out so fast bc my parents wanted to leave the mall...
but yeah, if anyone in the norfolk virginia area knows a person named adam who works at the macarthur mall zumies, lemmie know!
except i was a ding dong and said “im logan nice to meet you” even tho you don’t say that to store clerks i think... oh well >>

boo-fuckin-hoo:
I've never personally shopped there, but I saw some product in my sisters house and was curious about it. Now, after browsing the website, I found out that one is going to open in MacArthur Center right over the bridge! I can't wait to try some stuff!! Bath and Body Works may feel a bit betrayed though...oh well, they'll get over it ;D
I'm back from shopping with my cousin at MacArthur Mall! :D I found this really cute Finding No tee at Hot Topic! Other than that, I went to American Eagle and found some sweet outfits for school! :) Pics will be posted momentarily via Instagram.

Went to my future school to get enrolled for my senior year this morning. Unfortunately, I cannot be completely enrolled until we have a house address to fill out into the applications. We're still staying at the Navy Lodge until further notice about our house. Then we went to the DMV to pick up the booklet to study for my learners permit. 17 yrs old. Thank goodness I dont have to have any drivers ed hours. However, no home address, no permit. So i gotta wait for that too. Finally we went to the MacArthur mall and went shopping at Charming Charlies. I seriously want to work there. There or Forever 21. There are a lot of job opportunities here too which is pretty good. Then on the ride home with my mom we were listening to "Hard to Love" by Lee Brice. "Hahaha this is us mom! We're hard to love!!" I told her. "No im not. Im very easy to please..." "yeah. Just gotta call you." "Yeah!" "Every five minutes!" "....ya.." Went to the largest navy exchange then the commisarry then back to the navy lodge. Texted with booboo. Now just reviewing the school and dmv packets i got today. Agh! Idk what classes to take. Im making this so difficult. Im just going to call my older brother later. He knows me and what ill be able to handle. This will be the last year of high school so everythings gotta be perfect! And the stress level at a tolerable level. Just one more year of pushing and then its off to the new life as a college student. I have a lot of praying to do (:
