English:
Running wild in the gaps between your common sense, something is pulling the strings without you knowing
You act as if you could think for a little while, then choose the future that's been planned out for you
If you listen carefully, you can hear the screaming deep within your heart
Stamping the vast earth, the steel messiah annihilates only the unnecessary scenery
In this closely-monitored miniature Garden of Eden, let's just grin and bear it until the key to the exit can be found…
Vermillion rain pours as softly as blood, gently wetting both our shoulders, but
If you listen carefully, you can hear the incessant screaming
Stamping the vast earth, the steel messiah agitates the crowd of people to its heart's content
In this isolated miniature Garden of Eden, let's just love each other until the next answer can be seen…
If you listen carefully, you can hear the answer you've been searching for
Before long, I'll open the final lock and take you, whom I've longed for, to the next stage
Don't say anything under this mad sky; just entrust your body to my arms and fall asleep
When you open your eyes once again, a new era will arrive
The thumping and singing of the revolution will be carved into your brain through the cracks in your ruptured eardrums…
Probably PIERROT's most iconic song, so I just had to translate it! In true PIERROT fashion, it seems to be about war, specifically atomic bombs (which I'm going to assume is what is meant by "steel messiah"), because if there are two things PIERROT just loved writing about, it was war and drugs.
And here is Mad Sky, the most Halloween-like song they have. I’m aware the lyrics have nothing to do with it, but it sounds all nice and spooky, which is what made me fall in love with this song and, eventually, this band.
