Now headcanon time, you can skip this if you want: Mr M is undoubtly the Maker, or well at least a mortal form of the Maker. The Zed Merchant, or also called Mr M, only appears to those who are in a ditch, at their last end, who 100% would meet a fate ending in death through poverty or simply being one of the lower classes in Nevada.

He often offers a deal to these mortals, these deals vary in intensity, it could be a simple trade, or it could be a livelong partnership from the shadows, one is known for sure, once the deal has been fullfilled, these individuals will never see the Zed Merchant again. Searching for him by either walking around or googling will just result in no success either way, as if he never existed to begin with
