Just throwing it out there with the new Pink dialouge.

I've seen some people mention it lending credence to the idea IMAGE_FRIEND is a type od entity, not an individual

And while i do agree...i think it could maybe be both?

Like, there has to be a reason Toby chose to maks it look like Endogeny, yknow, a bunch of seperate dogs melded into one.

What if friends something similair, or perhaps, the opposite?

A hivemind of sorts, or a connected intelligence, or a multitude of fragments of one original being (yknow, gaster style!)

I like the idea they'd be similair enough that you cant really diffrentiate one from another, and knowledge could fluidly pass between them, but different enough that they could "talk" to eachother, make quips between, laugh at anothers actions.

That uncanny spot where it's clearly a group of creatures interacting, but it feels more like a puppet show being controlled by a single creature playing the part of multiple faces.

How one annoying and stubborn person, can ruin everything by constantly bugging you, through different accounts and platforms, just so they can force you to forgive them and be friends. Need I say that that's not how forgiveness works?.. And being friends too. I don't owe my friendship to anyone.

I barely talk to people now, and if I now seem rude and stand off-ish, it's because of this one person, who keeps talking to me, not telling me who they are, just so they can... I have no idea what, bother me for no reason?? Ask me stupid questions and act condescending, implying that any and all of my decisions are weird or stupid, cuz they woud've done it differently, etc. Just over all unpleasant vibes and advices I haven't asked for, since we're not friends. They use specific sentences and phrasing, which now fucking trigger me. %) Since they've supported me financially through Boosty for some time, now they think that I'm like.. A bought puppet they can have fun with and that I must be grateful thy graciousness for blessing me, I puny peasant, with thou money. What a bunch of parasocial baloney.

So, anyways... I needed to ramble about it. Just to clear things out - why I may accidentally be rude (especially if you're sending me messages anonimously), why I don't talk to anyone I don't know, don't chit-chat about nothing except work, with people I don't know for a long time. And I know you're reading this, probably, feeling butthurt or whatever. I won't be your friend. I don't need your support in any way. I don't want to do anything with you. I wouldn't have sat to shit in one field with you, even if we were on the opposite sides of it %)))) I wouldn't have touched you with a goddamn 20 feet long pole.

I feel like the things I do - don’t worth it.

There’s this discouraging feeling, whenever you work on something and feel enthusiastic about it, and then when you share it with people, it’s like - ech... No one cares about it. It doesn’t get any kind of attention or interest you thought it would. So you just feel empty... This happens to me lately very often and I just don’t feel like I need to do anything, or share anything, because in the end - it won’t be interesting, people won’t care about it. So, why should I spend my time on making something that won’t bring me even the satisfaction of someone elses interest? I can just imagine it in my head and that’s it. I’m okay with that. Like... if that’s something that doesn’t worth anything, I’d rather work on paid stuff? At least I’d have money? Right?..

Sadly, I can’t draw only someone else’s ideas, it’s tiring. Nothing against it, but it’s exausting to cater to someone else’s interests, ideas and likes.

I just want to enjoy what I do for myself. And don’t feel this disappointment when people don’t care much for the things I do. I also feel bad because I FEEL LIKE THIS. I feel guilty for being upset by it.

I feel so frustrated how the real world inteferes in my daydreaming, so both of my paraverses are being affected by the virus but at least in them i'm doing something to help to find a cure/vaccine.

Whenever people try to give tips on madd and say like "avoid triggers" its so bizzare to me as someone who first noticed signs of their madd at like 9 years old. since I was so young I never "grew out of the imaginary friend phase" and I have a two different day dream modes, one where im fully immersed and seems to be the more common/talked about style but the other mode where its basically like a kid with an imaginary friend like im really never not day dreaming. Even if im with friends or shopping my paras are 'there' with me laughing at our jokes or looking at clothes with me. Its just such weird advice to avoid triggers when literally existing is my trigger

Hey Madders!

I was wondering if anyone has made a podcast related to Maladaptive Daydreaming and if not, would anyone even be interested in listening to one? I've thought about it before, but I've only seen YouTube videos on the subject and personally, I would like to have something I could listen to while doing mundane things such as eating, sleeping, traveling, ect. If I can't find a podcast, then maybe I should be able to provide one! Any thoughts or answers would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen alot of people say that the person who controls the FRIENDs in the new dialouge is Gaster, and i get the logic but...

Well, ERAM is right there!

The main reason people didnt talk much about ERAM in the past was alot of people thinking it might just be FRIEND talking to us...but the new info makes that alot less likely.

And ERAM literally does spawn a horde of FRIENDS to attack us, so...

...hey wait a second.

The FRIENDs are after protein, aka, the EGGs.

...and completing the ERAM fight breaks all the monitors, making it impossible to reach chapter 3s EGG!

...until..an alternative method...was added in an update after the chapter release

...yknow...the exact thing that lead to this new dialouge

...holy shit, am i cooking?
