"Not so bad."

"Research proposal was actually fairly good."

"Still up against 3 other candidates, though."

"No chance."

"Well, maybe a little bit of chance."

"But I bet they've all got Masters degrees, the bastards."

"And then I said that one thing."

"They'll think I'm a prat."

"And that thing that may have sounded like I implied that I had no interest at all in part of the second supervisor's area of research"

"OH bollocks."

"Well if it was that horrific I'll just do something else."

"But I want to do that."

"Maybe it wasn't so bad and they will accept me."

"But they haven't contacted me yet."

"But it's only been nine hours...and six of those hours weren't typical working hours."

"Chill your fucking beans."

"I'd like a yes but I'm fully prepared for a no."

"But I don't know how I'll feel about a no."

"And I also left my drink of water behind"

Before you get all high and mighty...

and start harassing me about how infrequently I've been blogging lately, let me lay this on you. I've said the following no less than 2,756 times while at work during the past month:

"Never. Again."

"Everyone hates me and I don't even care."

"Why do you make me be an asshole?"

"I hate this place." 

It's not good, y'all. I'll just say that. "Busy" is like the prepubescent step-cousin to what I've got going on here.
