As a teen and into young adulthood, Christopher was a wild card, and often got into trouble for his different antics. He was known for getting into fights and partying maybe a little too much. However, after moving to Texas and meeting Beatrice he calmed down. Starting a family and settling down, he showed a responsible side that few would have believed he ever had.

Christopher was married for 10 years to his wife, Beatrice, before she died in a car wreck on her way home from work. Following this, him and his daughter, May, packed up and moved from Texas back to his hometown in Madison, Georgia.

Christopher has a lot of emotional baggage and is still affected by his wife’s passing. The day of the accident he was supposed to pick her up but was unable to because of work. He still feels guilty in a way for what happened and feels like somehow, if he’d been there for her things would have been different.

He used to work corporate and was a workaholic, but moving back to Madison he chose to find a job that he enjoyed and wouldn’t consume him as much as his past one did, so that he could be there for his daughter and make up for the time he was too busy at work to really enjoy seeing her grow up.

While he used to be very social, he’s become slightly more reserved since Beatrice’s passing. That being said, he’s a very loyal friend and likely reignited old friendships in Madison, even keeping some close friendships from Texas (@catalinaperz​)

Katrina Luna Addams, be a perfectionist. That was pretty much how the woman had been raised. Both her parents were in the medical field and had expected the same from her after high school. Even after having another child, Katrina’s younger sister, the parents only ever focused their attention on Kat. And Katrina hated it.

She never had a passion for medicine but from being around her parents so much and hearing their conversations, the woman picked it up with ease. Sure, she was good at terms and remembering what her parents spoke about, but as soon as Katrina made up her mind on what she wanted to be, she wasn’t backing down. And that was an event planner.

It shouldn’t surprise someone that she leaned towards that career given how she was raised. Kat always wanted things to be perfect and if not perfect, then pretty damn close. Anything less was never executable. But when she finally told her parents her senior year in high school her plans, her parents chose that moment to focus all their attention, or more of it, to her younger sister. Sure, her sister got the normal spoiled attention a younger sibling got in the family-but it wasn’t the same after Kat said no to medicine.

The two siblings always fought and hardly saw eye to eye. They made things a competition. They made each other hurt in more ways then one. Yet….they made each other complete. Katrina loves her sister to death and she hopes her sister loves her right back. But as they got older, their issues grew as well.

Feeling alone anyway, Katrina made the choice to move away from New York City and towards L.A. instead. Why? Very few people know the answer.

It was there, after getting a business degree, that Katrina’s event planning took off. When it came to business and organizing and connections, she’s your girl; she’ll get any job done-and fast. During one of her event’s, Addams came in contact with Audrey Matthews and fell in love with her work; from there their friendship took off.

Least favorite memory? “Well….I have several but the first one that comes to mind is the huge fight I had with my sister. Like all older siblings, there was a lot of pressure for me to follow my parents footsteps; become a part of the medical field. But that wasn’t what I was passionate about. Therefore, all the pressure was then placed on my younger sister-and I’m not sure if she’s over that or not. I guess she thinks I abandoned her or left her to fend for herself but….I’m sure she got her way like she always did eventually. It-it’s just complicated. We both always were.”

Why Madison? “I loved L.A. and New York will always have a special place in my heart. But….I’ve been told several times that I need to find the pleasures in the “small things.” I don’t know…for someone who’s constantly moving and always,” Katrina snaps her fingers quickly to make her point before speaking again, “in action getting things from point A to B, I don’t have a lot of breathing room to-well just breath. Again, I have no problem with it but lately, I do want to take it a little easier. Just…try and relax. Which yes, that’s very hard for me to do. But, after hearing all the cute and homey feelings that Audrey Matthews has spoken about from her hometown Madison, I thought, ‘why not?’ It’s not like I can’t plan events there too right? Plus I’ve been dying to hold Audrey’s little one in my arms-video chatting can only do so much you know?” Sighing a little and biting her lip, Katrina finally said, “I just want to experience all the warmth small towns are supposed to offer deep down; all of which I never experienced from living in New York with my family or when I was in L.A. making everyone else’s life as perfect as I could.”

What would they say is their biggest flaw? “I’m a perfectionist. There’s no other way around it. I just am. In everything I do. It’s perfect when it comes to applying it to my work and such but apparently it also makes me cold and stand-offish? I don’t know, it’s what I’ve been told. I’m always, always thinking about tomorrow, or the next few hours, or a few months from now. While others enjoy the now and here. I suppose I just haven’t found a reason to not plan for someone’s future.”

What is something they’ve always wanted in life? “I’ve always wanted a tattoo. Like there are so many gorgeous pieces out there and the fact that each one means something special to each person. I would have so many I would want to get-so many. The thing is….I have zero pain tolerance for such a thing. That needle? The sound it makes? How it’s making your skin and it bleeds? Oh no…no. I-I just couldn’t. I don’t think I’ll ever get one because I wouldn’t want to deal with the pain. Unless it’s like the size of a dot? But then like what kind of tattoo would be the size of a dot right?” Katrina laughed with a smile and shrugged. “I guess I’ll just stick to henna and temporary kid tattoos.”

Hadley was the firstborn twin and the healthier of the two. While her sister struggled with a heart condition, Hadley was fairly healthy once they left the NICU.

Growing up, she was always a little more reserved and played it safe as opposed to her sister who was a lil wild child.

The twins are sandwiched between two brothers, and Hadley has always adored her siblings. She and Addi have tattoos they got at 18. Hadley has a rose behind her hear because Addi’s middle name is Rose.

Olivia here was born and lived in Ojai until she was ten, and her father left her, her mom and her younger sister to live with a new girlfriend in Los Angeles. 

Since then, her mom would jump from man to man and each time that she jumped into a new relationship, she would have her heart broken and each time resulted in them moving again to get away from each ex. 

Thus it began the pattern that stayed with her through childhood, her mom would meet a guy, fall in love, get her heart broken and they would move. 

By the time she turned sixteen, she had lived in each state at least once... or at least that was what it felt like.

BACKGROUND

Oldest of three boys, son to Doctor Arlow Hartland sr and Dianna Hartland nurse practitioner. Obviously takes after his parents on his love for medicine. His parents love story was close to a fairy tale, which is why he is such a hopeless romantic himself.

The Hartland’s were as close to royalty as it gets in the small town of Madison, he was considered the rich kid in school growing up. But his parents endless need to help other is what kept him humble

Grew up always volunteering around town, when he was young he was forced by his mom but as he got older he began to do it from his own will.

Was a bit of a trouble maker in his teen years, almost didn’t graduate high school because of it, but had a wake up call on his senior year and pulled through thanks to some of his closest friends.

He always knew he wanted to take over his dad’s practice and have a family of his own just like his parents did in the little small town of Madison, perhaps the reason why he fell so hard for his first love.

Because of his high school antics he had to go to community college to make up for a few things before he went to pre med at the University of Georgia. 

When things went sour right after he graduated from pre med, his plans to stay near home changed drastically pushing him to do med school in Texas were he eventually also enlisted in the army on an impulse.

He refers to the next years as a blur, dead in life if you must, until he met his ex wife Brook after he had finished med school and had been stationed in San Diego to finish his residency. 

A year after meeting her and falling madly in love with her, they both eloped deciding they couldn’t wait for a big planned wedding.

Their life was bliss, he continued to serve until Brook discovered she was pregnant, after that he decided not to renew his contract and become army reserve to be with his wife and child and get the normal family life he always dreamed of.

Almost to term Brook was on her way to the store when she was involved in a horrible accident, and while both her and the baby were in critical condition they both pulled through. However Brook suffered a hit to the head that had resulted on her loosing all recollection of the pass five years, forgetting him and the fact that she had been expecting a beautiful daughter.

The next seven months after the accident were hell from him, he tried to go slow and show her all the memories they had made together, he tried to woo her again in hopes of sparking any memory, but the more he failed the more frustrated they became until she decided she could be with someone who she considered a stranger and that she couldn’t fully love a baby she never remembered bringing to life.

And so with all the pain in his heart he gave her the divorce and she gave up all her parental rights. Arlow then decided to return to Madison, bribed by his dad sudden decision to retire and give him the practice but also because he knows that raising Fallon alone was not the right decision and in Madison he has a village. 

He’s been back for two weeks give or take, give me all the angst and drama, thanks.

PERSONALITY

I cannot stress this enough, hopeless romantic even after everything his been through. but lets face it he has a thing for women that look like they could ruin his life.

Loyal to a fault, which is why he takes people letting him down so personal, he could never fandom doing anything to hurt anyone on purpose.

A big goofball, he loves to joke around and laugh as often as he can.

she grew up as an only child, and her father was they mayor for about eight years of her life. she was her mom’s mini me for a good majority of her adolescence.

the nash’s did well for themselves, they have a nice house, decent cars, and never had to worry. most of it was old money, but her mom opened blush boutique when briar was sixteen and that helped too.

random facts / history:

in high school she was a total dance girl. she had goals of being a triple threat, but her acting never was too on par. she met her now ex husband when she was 16 and told everyone she’d have his babies some day

they started having kids young too, an accident that she’d never take back. however their third pregnancy was different.

(tw miscarriage) briar felt sick the whole time, more than with the boys. she knew something was wrong but nobody would listen to her. finally she was having a lot of pain and her husband drove her to jesup and they found she had an ectopic pregnancy. this caused her to miscarry and severely damage one of her fallopian tubes. this basically cut her chances of future pregnancies in half.

eventually they were able to afford IVF, but the romance began to dwindle. all briar wanted was more babies, and it only became about that. by the time she was finally pregnant they had already fallen out of love.

she pretends she’s okay most days, she’s a strong woman who focuses on her happiness and her children. she has joint custody, her husband gets the kids two weekends out of the month and a few random nights. i hc they co parent well because while they aren’t in love, they do prioritize their children.

so over all, she is a pretty caring person, puts others before her, easy to get along with, quick to call people out on their bs, but in general a good heart. little sad sometimes, little mean sometimes, little sassy sometimes.

she focuses a lot of her energy on her work, she’s revamped the boutique within the last year and offers a lot more than before. eventually she plans on adding a men’s section when she can renovate the shop next door that she took over.
