Alright @madpropslive I’ll have you know that free verse and I don’t particularly get along all that well and that’s putting it nicely. I did however make an attempt to be faithful to the form. So for the “Poetry in Flight” find the right word challenge, this is all I got, for better or for worse - ~Conversing with my Consciences~ - On airy winds of midnight dim, trepidation bit my skin As I had drifted in trance like way, to my tumultuous mind within Sifting past superficial and common, I fall into the unknown While beans of thought that time long forgot, welcome me like I am home We’re delighted you’re here though not spacious we fear, you’ve been clinging to too much thought We need to ameliorate what’s kept, before these vaults are swept, or your ghost will live distraught I say “What do you mean? I’m tidy and clean, each thought is kept for a reason” Effervescent in style, I’ll accept no denial, that all is fine as it seems In a aery voice they laugh at my choice, “Let it be as you so desire.
