deadass realising the reason I like Jing Yuan was because he's pretty much a gender bent version of one of my oldest ocs was not something I expected this month,,,

I see people saying that is very unrealistic for Odysseus to beat Poseidon in 600 strike, but think, Odysseus can't pass the storm so when he opens the wind bag Poseidon gets cocky and is like "alright you win, but you still can't get home you idiot" and he is completelly surprised when Odysseus takes the trident and he's too stunned to fight back

🕯 Yule Blessing 🕯

This is just what I plan to do to celebrate my first Yule as a witch! Feel free to adapt however you would like. ❤️💚

Light the white candle, focusing your intentions on what you will manifest in the days as they get longer. What do you want to achieve?

Light the red candle, and focus on how you will manifest in your passions, vitality, and energy.

Light the green candle, and focus on how you will manifest through growth, health, and fortune.

(On my alter, I also lit sage and placed it in my cauldron to represent the earth and fire, as well as an acorn and a seashell that I found at a beach near my home to represent earth and water.)

After I lit the candles, I spoke this blessing:

May this solstice and turning of the wheel bring you peace, love, and good fortune in the coming year. I welcome the returning sun with hope and joy!

I plan to leave my candles lit as I do my rituals through the long night! I am going to bake a Yule log cake, as I consider my oven the hearth of my home, and it is my way of lighting a real Yule log since I can’t in my apartment!

While it bakes, I’m going to do this Solstice Tarot spread and finish up the herbal remedies section of my grim:

After I finish with everything, before I go to bed, I will open a window and blow out the candles, letting go of things from this cycle, as the new one begins.

So this is already a super long post, but as I reflect on this last year, I am so happy that I stumbled into my craft and how much I have learned! This community has been so helpful and welcoming, and I’m so happy I can share my craft while learning from others. Wishing you all hope and joy in the coming light! 💚

Spoilers for Varka's Story Quest Under the Cut!! (Mostly Kaeya discussion tbh AKJHKH)

I have been absolutely spoiled by the amount of times Kaeya appeared in this quest. Genuinely, I've been losing it about every time his pretty ol' face appeared on screen RRRR

LIKE KLEE'S DODOCO ON THE CHAIR NEXT TO HIM?? AUGH HE'S SO - WAA THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS SO PRECIOUS TOO ME 🥹

seeing him trying to be so distant from the start (it was even more so in the official manhua) but just gradually being more comfortable with the knights in a more genuine way over the past years is something that I always will love about him n this game. It's one of the reasons why I get so incredibly excited for any patches with Mondstadt, cause there's such a high chance for Kaeya to be included, and they always fricken deliver (Of Ballads and Brews along with Kaeya's hangouts are soso precious to my heart)

Also I am genuinely so happy in how they fleshed out the Mondstadt character relationships along with Varka in the story quest?? I do think that Jean being overworked is still being brushed over a bit too lightly for my liking, but overall the writing was pretty solid and it wasn't your usual story quest where some character's friend is the betrayer nor was it irrelevant to Varka or the plot (Also anything related to the 4 Winds is something I really like - so I maaay be a little biased here) (My only other gripe was that it would have been more nice if there had been a bit more on Roland as the lore on him is very extensive, but it's possible it may come up later, hopefully)

ALSO THIS - ohhhhhhh it was one of my favourite moments (I'm sorry Varka, but these 3 have outshined you a little personally). I haven't written Diluc as much, but other than Kaeya, Rosaria is probably the other non-oc character I write a lot in my oc fics. But this argument here really gets to the crux of this trio's dynamic. They all understand that Mondstadt cannot be solely protected in the light (e.g what Varka and Jean does), and that the issues with the knights have a history of coming from more internal politics/issues (e.g Eroch) - which need to be dealt in a way that may be against the knightly code and etc etc But at the same time, they have such differing ways of doing that, they end up not working with each other completely (I fucking love this trio - I adore adore writing them interacting with Rai as well huhu)

ALSO on another point, but I genuinely adore how incredibly layered Kaeya is. He's kind of like holding up a multi coloured crystal or something, you can see different aspects of him in different lights. He's not only caring nor is he only scheming. He acts as though he is morally grey, but in the end his actions result in a solution that is considered morally good. He is a walking compelling mess of contradictions and that is something that is so so incredibly fun to write (I also think the complexity of Kaeya is so unfortunately ignored in a lot of theories - lowkey probably one of the reasons why I don't look at lore theories much these days cause I feel as though many do not factor in the characterisation of the character they're making a theory about in favour of plot and mechanics)
