I've been meaning to draw Maeth and Orin again for a while and I think, while Maeth was completely blinded by his hatred for her, because of the fact she attempted to end his life, he'd come to realize later on that they weren't so different from one another afterall.

Lore snippets because I got lost on thoughts, and thinking about how Maeth may feel about Orin later on post BG3 events was interesting to me hehe

Part 2 - Short comic: Maeth meets Sceleritas Fel

🥁✨ Here it is, I finaly managed to finish all the pages of this short comic, after many long hours of work, there's some panels i'm not super happy with and others that I think look reaaallly good, but overall i'm happy with it, and happy to finaly get to tell this little part of Maeth's story 🙂‍↕️ (Also i had to add in this random quote that spawned in my head on the page 8)

CONTEXT for Maeth at that time, he's in his late teenage years/young adult, he has spent many years living alone in the streets of Baldur's Gate, isolating himself completely, fearing that his uncontrollable urges would take away from him every soul he's ever been around, or get attached to, as it has happened many times before. Maeth only feels like a worthless wretch without any purpose, agonizing in his own solitude when Sceleritas finaly finds him.

PART 1: Short comic - Maeth meet Sceleritas Fel

Context for Maeth at that time, he's in his late teenage years/young adult, he has spent many years living alone in the streets of Baldur's Gate, isolating himself completely, fearing that his uncontrollable urges would take away from him every soul he's ever been around, or get attached to, as it has happened many times before. Maeth only feels like a worthless wretch without any purpose, agonizing in his own solitude when Sceleritas finaly finds him.

Here are the first 3 panels of this short comic I've been working on for a while now, about Maeth meeting Sceleritas for the very first time ✌🏻🥹 As I thought it could be interesting to explore their very first interaction, and I know that Maeth would have never imagined at that point that Sceleritas would one day become his true family.

I tried to simplify my art for this, to make the comic process a little faster but eh, i'm still kinda slow lmao

Anyway I hope that you will enjoy this small lore related comic, I shall try to finish the remaining panels soon 🙂‍↕️

First actual durgetash artwork from me ahah, they just have an ambiguous relationship, and Maeth is simply too much of a brainwashed Bhaalist fanatic at that time, so he’s pretty much despising Gortash for being a Banite 🙄🙏🏻 but that’s okay despite their differences they still work together and learn to enjoy each other’s company with time lmao

Giving you more insight on Maeth and Orin's relationship, as I thought it could be interesting to explore it a bit more, given they did spend quite some years around each other.

(Reminder that Maeth has an extended lifespan, given he's literally born from a God lmao)

I guess I forgot to mention that Maeth has never considered Orin as his sister, but think it's quite obvious that he wouldn't ahah

Really wanted to draw this silly thing between these three lmaooo

For those of you who might be confused, yes Maeth is older than Orin, he’s more than 100yo as he has an extended lifespan given the nature of his birth as a Bhaalspawn.

Also, Maeth has never been very close to Orin, and never truly cared about her despite her being around the temple most of the time and liking him (but given Maeth’s background, he cuts people off, which is part of why he didn’t build any reciprocal bond with her, rather than him hating her from the start)

Then, allow me to keep on rambling 🫡 Maeth doesn’t really like kids, they irritate him and he doesn’t know how to behave around them, and that’s because when he was a child, he never got to connect and interact with children his age, as he was always and only surrounded by adults (his former wizard family)
