Here's how Secret Ally Annabelle Cane can still win
love a cute trauma callback!
Mr. Spider boutta see the bottom of my docs
I find the emphasis on the Melanie-Helen relationship kind of interesting?
Weirdly specific moments have happened:
1) Melanie knows about Helen's awfulness and tried to warn Jon and Martin about it. Martin told Melanie that Jon killed Helen (and was cool with it).
2) Martin didn't tell Jon about this conversation bc Jon notes that he needs to tell Melanie that he killed Helen.
3) Basira was worried about Melanie bc Jon killed Helen, noting Helen and Melanie's friendship.
I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I suppose that while it's very natural that Basira and Jon would talk about Helen and Melanie, it feels odd for it to happen right before Hilltop Road.
Hey remember how Daisy was able to hurt Jon because he was terrified of her? And that emotional connection meant she could do him lasting harm because dream logic?
And...and Jon is about to knock on the door of a web stronghold...with the statement he gave about his childhood trauma playing outside...and how his experience with Mr Spider left him with arachnophobia and completely changed his world view, so much so that he grew up to become an academic research specialising in the supernatural to get answers...
Oh yeah did I mention he's also completely defenceless and his only plan is "Basira's good at this kind of thing right?"
dammit the safe house was probably the Web testing out the camera's effect on Jon
