It’s been more than a year since I posted here. But the recent digital doodle I made does only make sense on Tumblr.

One of Olivia and Anders' twins, Bethany, ends up being a girly-girl.

Aw, this is cute! I always found the matter of rising mage children interesting. Even when the parents are helpful and understanding, it's still rather challenging, especially when it means your childret are going to be persecuted

Oh yeah, I definitely think it's challenging.

They're going to be persecuted, they're already living on the run, and they have to teach them how to control their magic.

It's definitely hard for Olivia and Anders, especially since Liv isn't the best at control herself, but to them it's worth it. Obviously the ideal situation would be living in a world where their children weren't persecuted, but they'd much rather them be free on the run than anything else.

You might have already been asked this, but how did Liv found out the twins were mages?

No, I haven’t been asked this yet, so thank you! :D

They’re about five years old when little Bethany accidentally sets a ribbon on fire. She was throwing a tantrum because the ribbon Olivia was going to use to tie her hair up wasn’t the color she wanted (it wasn’t pink enough), and the next thing everyone knew, the “bad” ribbon was burning up in Liv’s hands.

Karl’s magic manifested shortly after that, when he and Bethany found an injured kitten and he managed to partially heal it. Healing magic wasn’t exactly easy for him until he was a bit older since he’d done it out of fear for the kitty’s life, but he almost immediately started accidentally setting things on fire just like his sister did.

Needless to say, Liv and Anders are extremely proud and excited when they discover the twins were mages like them.

One Hell of a Mess

Pairing: Anders/Female Mage Hawke (Olivia Hawke) Rating: SFW Summary: Olivia and Anders’ twins make a big mess.

Prompt from stormsandsea: "That's one hell of a mess," for Olivia and Anders.

Olivia was just about to open the front door when she heard a loud crash from inside the house.

Instantly sent into a state of panic, she burst through the door, lightning crackling over her hands at the potential threat.

The house was in disarray, the few possessions they owned all over the floor, messy and unorganized. She didn't see any enemies, but didn't dare let her magic fade away just yet—not until she knew her family was safe.

A moment later, a loud giggle echoed throughout the house as Bethany darted across the room, her hair and the pink bow that held it up flowing behind her as she ran. Karl trotted behind his sister, followed by Anders, who looked just as disheveled as the house was.

Half of his hair had fallen out of the ponytail he usually kept it in, the blond strands sticking out in every direction. He was heaving, out of breath, his cheeks flushed from exertion.

"Thank the Maker you're back," he breathed, leaning forward, bracing his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. His eyes darted to the sparks still dancing between her fingertips, and she finally relaxed, letting her magic fizz away.
