day 4 @analogicalweek : au and i happily dusted off my old vampire logan sketch and made virgil a necromancer (he accidentally stole my heart whoops) and @5-falsehoods-phonated really did a lovely story from that

Headcanon; Prince Nycholas

The side effects of the Arcane Curse include bad luck, not being able to discuss it with those outside of the family/intending to join the family, early death, and Blood Malediction. 

The family can’t speak of it to others, unless they’re planning to marry into the family, but everyone knows the rumors and basic premise of the curse. The curse is hereditary, meaning it passes from every parent in the bloodline to every child, and extends to their spouses and significant others as well. 

Ways to break the curse have been speculated, including giving back what was stolen/apologizing/setting the wrongs right, completing an impossible task, dying and coming back, passing it on to a different family, death of the caster, putting the rightful ruler on throne, and true love. But no one knows for sure what will break it, as all other attempts have failed. 

The curse had been deemed the darkest of magic in ancient times, and was legally and morally forbidden. But there were, of course, those who still used it. But it generally died out until it was placed upon the first member of Lond House.

@soul anon. Ive had this happen a couple of times and i found that preforming a spell or something involving souls helps bring it back (example; a past life spell) maybe look at some witch tumblrs and preform a simple spell?
