Like, trans women, and disabled women, and women of colour, and Muslim women, and LBPQI women, and mentally ill women, and fat women NEED to be prioritized in feminism. We need to support and advocate for our most vulnerable, because a woman privileged in every aspect except their gender gaining a victory doesn’t mean a victory for all of us. We need our most marginalized to be empowered because they’re the ones being slaughtered and abused most of all.
The past is rarely as we imagine it.
this is a really good post actually.
it must have taken a while to make.
This is really accurate from what I understand
interesting comic with cute style is interesting and has a cute style

Spectrum outfitters is a new UK BASED company that is about to start selling binders
I know this damn website is so Americanised but PLEASE reblog this! Transmasculine people in the UK have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for shipping from America. This could change all that.
Support your UK trans community. Reblog this. Get the word out.
also, lmao ERs treat drug addicts so bad that it harms fucking everyone.
Like, I had recently had surgery, left the hospital I had surgery at because I felt better, 7 hours later turns out I had an infection, could have died, and was in excruciating pain. I get to the ER, my dad tells them what happened, and that I needed pain medication, and let me tell you, I’ve been hit by a car, this pain was 10 times worse than having your tailbone broken but constant.
So they check me in, and take an hour and a half to get to me. It wasn’t busy there, I remember distinctly it wasn’t busy, they even said it wasn’t busy. It took them an hour and a half of me in this horrible pain for them to read my file and figure out I had an infection and could die, so finally then did they give me pain medications.
Because as soon as you go into the ER asking for pain meds, you’re automatically an addict in their eyes. And this is bullshit for two reasons:
1) addicts are still suffering and deserve medical treatment, especially when it’s that severe
2) this drastically harms people who suffer from chronic illness/chronic pain/infections/anything really
They hate addicts so much they’re willing to let disabled people suffer in agony for hours, because they just don’t care, whats it to them if an addict is suffering for hours?
[reminder you can die from withdrawal, so they should fucking be treating addicts just as seriously as anyone else]
Don't feel ashamed of doing "CHILDISH" things
•buy toys/dolls/crayons •play with Legos •play old videogames/dress up games •weave friendship bracelets •watch cartoons •use stickers •draw pics of your favorite characters
If it makes you feel nice, do it. Don’t even worry about what other people think, because it doesn’t matter–if it brings you happiness, it’s not “ridiculous”, or “immature”.
You deserve to enjoy yourself.
Let me share with you what I consider to be the most important less I’ve learned in my adult life:
“Growing up doesn’t mean you can’t have Zebra Cakes. Growing up simply means that, if you want to have Zebra Cakes, you buy them for yourself.”
“What the hell are you talking about, Bear?” Well, let me explain. For those of you who live outside of the US, this is a Zebra Cake:
It’s a little pre-packaged snack cake that is horribly cheap and junky and really not that great, but it is like manna from heaven to me. I fucking love these things. When I was a little kid growing up, my mom bought Zebra Cakes but once in a blue moon. They were intended to be put in mine and my siblings’ school lunches, but my brother and I would eat them whenever we wanted, so Mom just didn’t see the point. (They also used to be kind of expensive, at least for our family’s budget.) Needless to say, the coveted Zebra Cakes were a luxury for me, and were one of the tastes of my childhood.
Fast forward to my college years. I was living in an apartment with three other people, doing my own shopping and cooking. I was in the grocery store, picking up some stuff, and I happened to walk past a display of snack cakes. Among them were several boxes of Zebra Cakes.
I paused at this, chuckling to myself. Oh man. Zebra Cakes. I haven’t had those in years. I loved those when I was a kid. I reminisced happily and thought about how much I missed the taste of Zebra Cakes, then started to walk away.
And then I stopped dead.
Because I had realized that there was literally nothing stopping me from buying a box of Zebra Cakes. There was nothing stopping me from buying ten boxes of Zebra Cakes. If I wanted Zebra Cakes, I could have goddamn Zebra Cakes, because it was my money and my decision to make.
I put two boxes in my cart (they were 2 for $5) and never looked back.
Here’s the secret I learned that day: The idea of something being “just for kids” is, by and large, bullshit. What you do on your own adult free time with your own adult money is, by its very nature, adult stuff. It’s like comedian Eddie Izzard (who frequently performed his routines in drag) once said when someone asked about him wearing ‘women’s clothes’: “They’re not women’s clothes. They’re my clothes. I bought them.”
I am 25 years old, and yesterday I bought myself a shark lunchbox. Look at it. Look at how awesome my lunchbox is.
Was this lunchbox intended to by bought for and used by a child? Yes. The tag said it was for ages 3 and up. But it was bought by and will be used by an adult, and anyone who thinks that’s wrong is probably just jealous that they don’t have the self-confidence to rock a shark lunchbox at 25.
So like. Being “mature” and “an adult” doesn’t mean you have to completely abandon the things that made you happy when you were younger. It just means that you may have to approach them in a different way.
Pay attention, there’s a lesson here
Gad Beck as a child, a young man, and towards the end of his life.
Gad spent his life involved in education and activism following the Holocaust. His autobiography tells of his work in the underground Jewish resistance in Berlin during WWII, as well as his relationships with men, both long-term relationships and fleeting sexual encounters. When he died in 2012, he was the last known gay survivor of the Holocaust.
You can listen to our episode on him on iTunes, Podbean, Stitcher, and Tunein.
“don’t support nestle!” shouts the liberal on the computer made from parts manufactured at foxconn
consumer activism is a lie, see you in hell or in communism
lmao try boycotting a brand in monopoly capitalism
This. This is a large part of what “there’s no ethical consumption under late capitalism” means. On top of everything else, when the same company owns both the product you’re boycotting *and* the “organic, free range, fair trade, no prison labor” version of that product, your choice is literally meaningless. Even before you factor in the strong possibility that those labels are lies, you’re still just choosing one prong of a two prong marketing strategy meant to capture 100% of the market. Your objections to their cheaper, less ethical brand are being used to wring more money out of you, money that all goes to the same place. Your morality is being used to exploit you, and they still win.
you know, instead of ““““headcanoning”””” popular youtubers as lgbt+, people could try, i dunno, watching and supporting actual lgbt+ youtubers??

Allistics always say things like “NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT!” when talking about eye contact, body language, etc and they’ll get mad at Autistics for struggling with that kind of thing. But when a nonverbal Autistic communicates through sign language, texting, or writing, suddenly that’s inappropriate and they have to learn to talk. Or when an Autistic (verbal or nonverbal) communicates nonverbally through stimming or something similar, then suddenly that’s also inappropriate and needs to be stopped.
Don’t tell us to learn nonverbal communication when, in fact, most of the time we already know it - it’s just a different brand than yours. Learn our ways of communication. Don’t try to make us communicate in YOUR inaccessible way and don’t treat us like we’re broken or subhuman for not understanding.
(Anyone can reblog regardless of neurotype.)
anyway attack on titan is nazi propaganda and i dont trust ppl who like it, and as a Jew™ and general decent person i have the fucking right to say i hate snk and fans of it on my own blog
also hetalia (i dont feel the need to link a source for that one since it is literally called axis powers hetalia and one of the main characters is a personification of nazi germany)
hi there, i hope its okay that i add onto this! i am a korean jew and i think its important to state that attack on titan also glorifies japans history of oppressing korea. the source emma provided also goes further into detail about this if anyone wants to know more
tysm for this post because snk makes me so uncomfortable, and not a lot of people realize what it is
Autistic and proud Autistic and not your inspiration 29.04.17
Important PSA to allistic parents of autistic children:
If someone says, “I want autistic people’s input on this,” they are not asking for your opinion. As a matter of fact, they’re specifically asking you to stay out of it and not speak for somebody else. Yes, even if your child can’t answer the question for themselves.
There’s a time to sit down and listen to the people you’re claiming you want to help. This is one of those times.
boys in makeup is a big turnoff for me lol 🛇
… cool
okay but this is a bit rude? They were stating an opinion
This is LITERALLY the most iconic post on this site
