there's the one where they're all wizards who meet in sixth year after they all have to serve a detention together and they somehow find out in that detention that they can sing and so they form a band together and on their summer break they meet up at Liam's place because he's the only muggleborn so he's got all the really good muggle music tech stuff and then they become like a real band and start to write music and they bring in some other guys in their year to play the instruments and before they know it they're famous in the wizard world and thanks to liam (and slightly to Harry who's a halfblood) they're getting famous in the muggle world as well. Hogwarts asks them to come back to play the Yule Ball because the students all love them and then they go on tour around the wizarding world, and they get to play in huge wizard stadiums like the one where the Quidditch World Cup was played and it's just amazing (and some witches and wizards sneak their muggle friends in even though they'll only have the most vague memory of it happening) but they're still a band in this au, only famous in both worlds and playing the best venues possible in both worlds and all of their tattoos are magical but that's from a whole different little au idea that's already been written by blackwayfarers here
and then there was my idea for them sort of being in a TriWizard Tournament just without all of the impending death and ok no it was more like they were breaking the rules and went for a swim in the Black Lake. They dive down through the rocks and the green, green grass that's waving in the water and there's schools of fish and zayn's swimming along next to niall and he's wishing that he could paint underwater or take a photo because it's so lovely and peaceful but then they have to hurry to catch up to where louis is disappearing into a forest of sea kelp and harry's slowly swimming along behind him and liam's trying to get both of them to come out of there but somehow they all vanish inside and when the grindylows start to grab at them, louis stuns them all so that the five boys can swim freely through the forest towards the merpeople who of course aren't too pleased to see the students and harry's the only one who hears one of the merpeople murmuring about feeding them to the squid so he gets them out of there quickly and somewhere along their way back to the shore, when the rocky bottom of the lake falls away to a deep dark blackness that feels like it could suck them in, niall clings to harry like a lamprey to a shark and they're all looking around, terrified that the quid could appear at any second but they soon make it back to the place where the rocky bottom reappears and they all feel at ease until they're climbing out of the water and something wraps around liam's ankle until he's screaming and crying and swearing and then he realized that it's just a piece of kelp.
then there was my other au idea that had to do with the golden egg but that was just about as far as that idea went because I was like oh yeah, it'd be kind of cool if one of them had that , or if they had the little mini dragon like I could see zayn having the little dragon to carry around in his pocket because it's frowned upon when he brings his cat to class or his owl or any of the other dozens of animals he's tried to sneak onto the castle's grounds and he and the other boys would use the dragon as a way to pass notes in the middle of class or if they were out sitting on the ground smoking, they'd have the little dragon be their lighter
and there's more because i've been wanting to write a 1d hogwarts au for like three years now but somehow I've not really gotten around to it yet, but maybe I will soon even though I don't know if I'd want it to be just like an ot5 things, a certain ship from the band, or like f/m idk but a hogwarts au is my dream
