Katara Appreciation Hours

jokes aside, what happened between katara and seeing her mother die is truly traumatic. i could not cope well at all with watching my mother die and i would hate myself forever for doing nothing. thats a lot for a child to hold on their shoulders. badass, strong, caring katara held it on her shoulders because her mom protected her with her life when they would have gone away if her mom just gave katara up. of course katara held it all inside, blaming herself, and holding it above others trauma.

im not saying its cool, but its the worst thing, from her perspective. worse than aangs pain, worse than anyones pain. because it hurts her so bad, no other pain could compare.

and despite all this, shes kind, and sweet, and protective, and fiesty; all things i admire. shes strong, and she, when she gets older, is alive while her friends die, her husband dies, and she has to attend each passing.

shes strong, she has lots of willpower, and kindness and smarts, and humor, and sweetness.

i love katara.
