Hello! This is a ramble, sort of, but I really just wanted to let you know that I admire you, and I appreciate your existence in this tiny space of the universe.
I'm a new-ish follower. I've recently rekindled my (very repressed) love for Clexa. Those two have me on a chokehold. But alas, the friends I've met from here have long since moved on from that era of my life - their lives (reasonably so, it was very #traumatique). I stumbled upon your fics (almost as soon as I stopped repressing lol) and I just wanted to say that I'm in awe. In a span of... 4 months, I've devoured your writing - both in AO3 and all (yes all of the tags of all of the fics here on tumblr). I agree with that one comment (or was it an ask, not sure) that I read in passing on how you write very natural conversations. Your writing is captivating. You encapsulate, weave and evolve these characters we love into your stories very effectively. I remember you saying that you just borrow plots, use existing characters, but you have deeply made them your own. Nothing is really 100% zero-based and original. (I don't mean to invalidate you, I just hope you weren't downplaying how amazing your writing is -- but if that wasn't the case, I'm sorry for assuming). Writing fics is often thankless so thank you thank you thank you. Reading and re-reading your stories bring joy to my life. Catching up on the characters with your answers to asks about any of them is a treat. I hope you get the capacity to continue writing. I hope your health improves, and continue to improve. Genuinely, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read everything and to leave this insanely sweet message. I'm so not great at accepting praise or anything even remotely positive 😅 so bear with me me when I over-criticize myself and writing, but know I appreciate the support more than I can say. Honestly people like you are what keeps fandom fun, especially in a fandom that has shrunk over so many years (sad, but understandable). I'm so glad you came back to the fandom for however long you're here, cuz for me this fandom has been such a bright spot in some really shitty years. And it's because of all the people like you, who read and reach out and interact. Messages like this are what keeps fandom feeling like a community, and I just hope you know that every writer and artist appreciates you as much as you appreciate them. Myself very much included.
