The summer is a constant dream for them

there is absolutely no reason for rion to be going down to lake cleito. the lake was of little interest to him and he often found reasons to avoid it. drowning was an awful way to go and he almost never liked to tempt fate by actually going in the water. plus it was far too cold out to be swimming today, but he had a feeling that there would be someone worth bothering down there. of course, he could find someone to bother basically anywhere on campus, but his gut was leading him to the lake, and who was he to ignore it? 

as he got closer, he saw that his instinct was correct. one of his favorite people to torment sat just a ways down the path. blood that may or may not be his had dried on his face from his practice against one of the kids who was stupid enough to let him test out his new sword on them, but he didn’t bother wiping it off. instead, he made her angry as he got closer, partially for his own enjoyment. 

“what’s up greenpeace?” he tugged on her hair for shits and giggles, though it was a little less of a tug and more of a pull. “got a new sword today. wanna feel how sharp it is?” it’s not his most creative line, but he’s aiming more to be annoying than dangerous at the moment. // @eumaiken​

Soooo.... Peevils, Mare kinda sorta doesn't remember you but hey, new beginnings am I right!....*cough*

“So they were forced to wipe his memory in order to save him,” Phantom finishes explaining the events of the last few days. “There was nothing else that they could do.”

Nate watches Peevils spin a mirror shard between her fingers as she contemplates this. Sharper stays away from the two girls even as Maiken follows him around the room, studying him carefully with her brilliant black eyes.

Mare pinches the bridge of his nose. “Look, I’m sorry that this happened, and I’m sorry that I don’t remember you. But there’s nothing I can do about it at this point.”

He gets up from the table that they’re sitting around and storms out, leaving Peevils watching after him as he goes. Nate glances at Peevils with a sigh. “He just needs time. He’s the same Mare that he was before, just… with a new start. We want him to stay here where he’ll be with people that care about him.”

“He had me before,” Peevils says defensively. “We looked out for each other.”

“And we see how that turned out,” Phantom points out, his hand resting on his cane nonchalantly but ready to attack at any moment. “You and Mad drove him to the Author, and that’s how all of this began.”

“That’s not true!” Peevils slams her hand down on the table, and Maiken looks towards her. “Please, I just want to talk to him. I want to figure out what I can do. Maybe I can help to jog his memory.”

Nate shrugs. “You can try if you want.”

As Peevils goes after Mare, Phantom shoots Nate a glare. “You trust her alone with him?”

“She won’t hurt him,” Nate explains. “And she’s right. They used to protect each other pretty fiercely, even against Darkiplier. And who knows? Maybe he might remember something.”

Improvements can be made with practice! I’ve found that looking at references before you draw whatever you want to really helps :)

Outfit Archive No. 10 (Maiken/Absynthe/German) Like many others in this event my Guardienne is now a pirate. I didn’t think I would ever use that wig from the music day but it fits surprisingly well with this style.
