Yeah the three seasons are pretty good than it gets bad and good again you kinda question why you still watch it. It's a show that you can't watch too much of at once that's what I found

Really? I’ve found it best to watch it in one go. Tbh I hadn’t watched Supernatural in a while and started to become disillusioned about it but then some stuff on Tumblr renewed my interest to continue. I don’t think it’d be that way if I were a long-time fan though.

EVERYBODY LOOK AWAY BECAUSE THIS IS A MASSIVE ESSAY MY GOD
I started liking college Rachel in the first few episodes because I wanted her to be free from Finn and find sexual liberation. But after the makeover I feel like she's too different. We saw her in the first season of Glee (when yes, she had an obsessive crush on Finn but it was obsessive in the sense that Rachel is obsessive over everything, not in the "I'll give up my dreams for you" sense) and she was talking about how abstinence is unrealistic and she really had a liberal view towards sex and then in Season 2 when she actually got to be with Finn, it was suddenly this big deal for her. Of course we should never shame a woman for being abstinent and we could always go with the "it's different when you actually have the chance to have sex" logic but the point is, Rachel from Season 1 was actually very sexually liberated while still pining over Finn and wearing the same clothes that may not have been fashionable but she wore them with an air of confidence because that's just who she is. My point is, while I didn't want her to be hung over Finn anymore, Season 1 showed us that it was possible to like Finn, wear weird clothes and still be sexually liberated. And the reason why I'm focusing so much on the "sexually liberated" is because that's the only thing I like about college Rachel and even then, they didn't do it right. They couldn't take us back to Season 1 when she liked Finn but he wasn't everything and when she still wore her clothes but embraced the possibility of sex (breaking the stereotypes television like to throw at us so much).
That stereotype I'm talking about would be Marley Rose. I'm sorry but I can't talk about the new Rachel without talking about The New Rachel. She is not The New Rachel in the sense that she is what Rachel was in high school 2.0. She is the new Rachel in the sense that she is what the show is saying should have been Rachel in high school. It's like the show has backed up and decided to make Rachel more "commercial", "likable", "relatable", down to earth so that she embodies The Girl Next Door in college and then went "Now this is what Rachel should have been high school" when they made Marley. Tina not only was supposed to be The New Rachel but her character is actually more like Rachel in this season, way more so than Marley.
Look away now because I think I will end up writing an essay. Marley, to me, feels like an other character from fanfiction. She has no flaws. I am a Rachel stan (a Rachel Berry stan, not a Rachel Hudson or a Rachel Michele stan) and I like Blaine and I realise that some people complain they are portrayed with no flaws but the truth is, they are completely different to Marley. I'm going to copy and paste what others have said here:
I've seen the argument from pro-Marley folk that people shouldn’t hate her for being without flaws when Blaine was presented as flawless for so long.
Blaine was only “flawless” for his first five episodes and then we got the one, two, three punch of inappropriately serenading Jeremiah, The Rachel Debacle and thinking Kurt had gas when he was trying to make sexy faces in his sixth, seventh and eighth episodes.
Marley has been around for ten episodes now and she is still being presented as the most special and pure and talented person ever to exist. Yes, there was the eating disorder thing (although I like to pretend it never happened) but she was explicitly made to be a victim throughout the entire arc. It wasn’t a problem she had, it was a problem that was pushed on her. Poor baby.

After making Santana having an eating disorder a huge joke, after having Quinn’s eating disorder/dangerous diets get glossed over, after having Mercedes struggle a great deal for an episode and then making her obsessed with tater tots later on, after mocking Beiste’s weight time and time again, after having Sam clearly struggling with body dysmorphic disorder but never mentioning it again/making it a joke, after having Rachel trying to make herself throw up only to turn it into a joke about her gag reflex, etc
They do not get to tell everyone how serious of an issue this is and if you really must, why not use one of the above? Why didn’t you just do it with them years ago? Oh wait, I know why because two of them are “bitchy” characters so obviously their issues don’t matter, one is a "narcissistic control freak" so the audience won't have sympathy for her, two are women of colour, one is actually overweight, one is an adult character who looks traditionally different than society’s standards of beauty and the one is male.
No, no, by all means, have it be the new girl who already has had more of a storyline after 4 episodes than some of the above have ever had. Also, have it be triggered because her mother is overweight, yes wonderful writing. (I feel confident saying that Marley would never had stood up for the lunch lady if it wasn't her mother which makes it about standing up for family rather than standing up for people who are overweight since she clearly can't bear to be one of them). And obviously a boy (Ryder) must save the helpless girl who had to succumb to society’s pressures.
Basically the entire purpose of the storyline was to tear Kitty down even more by propping Marley up. Kitty did mention in Dynamic Duets that she didn't get as skinny as she did without some finger loving herself (or something along those lines) which leads me to believe that Kitty herself has had a past with bulimia which would explain a lot but I'm worried that it was only meant to be a throw-away line and it will never be explored.
Both Santana and Quinn have been made to prop her up as this innocent, special, bundle of talent (it was actually half of Quinn’s screen time in her only episode so far this season) and not only does she have two boys pinning after her but at one point they actually physically fought over her. When Brittany was “telling everyone the truth” before the world ended she said “I wasn’t gonna insult you. All I wanted to tell you was that I think you’re delightful.” when she got to Marley.
Even Sue said “I’m trying to think of a mean nickname for you and I’m blanking.” and then five episodes later “I have to get something for that hideous wad of a lunch lady who somehow was able to squeeze out a ravishing, golden-throated, raven-haired beauty from those monstrous gaping loins.”
Rachel as a special snowflake works because instead of being oh-so-very-kind-and-sweet-and-loved-by-everyone, she's cocky and arrogant but she has all the talent of acclaimed Broadway star Lea Michele to back it all up and when the show started no one liked her and it took three years for some of them to come around.
Marley has the kind of voice that talented girl you went to high school with has (you know the kind of girl who know’s she’s good but not good enough so she goes on to major in business or something instead of musical theatre or vocal performance). She wants to be a singer on the radio (*eye-roll*) (Side-note: Was this a blatant attempt to say that she's literally commercial likable) but she’s a timid little pushover. But just wait, I bet that won’t matter because instead of having to fight for her dream it’ll just be handed to her.
I know people think things get handed to Rachel but she has the talent to back it up, works her ass off and really pushed her way into NYADA even after she got rejected.
Anyway, why am I comparing Rachel, Marley and Kitty so? Because like I said before, Marley is like what the writers are saying Rachel should have been in high school but hey, it's okay because she got there in college! She became the average girl-next-door character that everybody likes. But even Marley is better (than new Rachel that is, she will NEVER be better than old Rachel) because she's still in Glee club despite it's unpopularity (whereas Rachel looks down upon Adam's Apple, although I'm not sure how much credit Marley should get for that since Glee club started out popular this year and Marley wanted to be popular) and even though it's horrible the way she rejected Ryder because he had to study because he has a learning disorder, at least it shows that she's not quite the pushover whereas Rachel forgives Brody for sleeping with Cassandra and standing her up a little too easily. I KNOW BROCHEL IS YOUR OTP SO DON'T HATE ME PLEASE HEAR ME OUT AND THEN HATE ME OKAY. I like Brochel but it feels like the issues we all had with Finchel (Rachel not standing up to him, the relationship moving too quickly, Finn feeding her meat) are the same with Brochel, just with a different guy. Even if Rachel was just cooking meat for Brody in the latest episode, I think she did eat meat in previous episodes of Season 4.
Maybe I wouldn't have such a big problem with the changes if people didn't think Marley is anything like Rachel (the old Rachel that is). Or worse, better than the old Rachel. Add that to preferring Rachel better in Season 4 or 3, it feels like they don't understand that Rachel as a special snowflake works because she is cocky and arrogant, not in spite of. Which brings me to:
KITTY IS THE RACHEL BERRY CHARACTER, NOT MARLEY. Except for how she’s blonde and evil. But whatever.
Since Britney 2.0, I've seen some commentary on the similarities between Kitty and old Rachel but I didn't really see it myself until The Break Up (sure Kitty was preaching Christianity and that was more early Quinn than early Rachel but just the way she went about it was so dramatic). I think Thanksgiving was the peak of it with Kitty worshiping Quinn. I ship Faberry but by no means imply that Rachel has a shrine dedicated to Quinn, it's got nothing to do with who is being worshiped; merely that ridiculous over-the-top crazy obsessiveness of it all just screams old Rachel to me, something that Marley would be too plain and average to do.

This was one of those little perfect nuggets of a scene, that is the right level of absurdity and humour. Its actually the kind of stuff that Rachel Berry used to do, the whole ‘give a wink’ and the way she did it, and the Kitty with her ‘I’m going to write this down’ was very Berry-esque. All these little funny quirks that Rachel no longer shows any signs of, but the rest of the cast continue to do.
And I DIED …um, even though I was in the middle of a rage blackout, when KITTY WINKED AT THE OLD JUDGE DUDE AND HE LOOKED SO ACCOSTED. AND QUINN SMILING WITH PRIDE. SEE I TOLD YOU. I TOLD YOU ALL. KITTY IS THE RACHEL BERRY CHARACTER, NOT MARLEY. Except for how she’s blonde and evil. But whatever. Her getting out her notebook was the BEST THING and I bet she’s going to get a photo taken of her with Quinn and print it out and put it on the cover. She would. And then she’d get Quinn to sign it. And cry.
I just. Becca did such a magnificent job with this whole Quinn-worship plotline, so much so that it’s taken out several categories in our recap.
Um, so as you can see, I read a lot of commentary on Glee episodes and copy and paste what they say because they say it better than I could.
Anyway, I know this was supposed to be about college Rachel but I simply couldn't talk about the evolution of her character without making parallels to Marley and Kitty.
I'm going to end this with DON'T HATE ME I LIKE BROCHEL YOU CAN CHECK MY BROCHEL TAG IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME I JUST HAVE ISSUES WITH THE WAY RACHEL IS BEING PORTRAYED IN SEASON 4 AND ALSO MARLEY AND KITTY (if they never explore why she acts the way she does. Hinting that she may have had a bulimic past herself was a step in the right direction but the fact that it was a throw-away line that many people missed and it still hasn't been explored yet has me worried. I just don't buy that there isn't more to the story especially when Kitty seemed so worried when Marley collapsed and insisted she drinks the damn juice box).

I like that my dream career (law) is something I actually enjoy and the fact that it’s a stable, realistic option is just a plus.
I like being girly which doesn’t sound like much but continuing the discussion of wanting to be lawyer, I really liken myself to Elle Woods from Legally Blonde because we have a lot in common. People underestimate our intelligence and don’t think we’ll amount to anything because we’re girly girls who don’t fit that stereotype of an intelligent woman but she goes on to become an awesome Harvard educated lawyer and blows everyone’s sexist minds and it’s great.

Okay no just stop. Don't tag this. The reason he couldn't be with Buffy was initially so she could have a better life, but after he moved to L.A. he started a life without her. "I Will Remember You" was about how they couldn't work because Angel has his own mission now that Buffy didn't fit into. "Heartthrob" was not about Angel starting to move on from Buffy. It was about realising that he had been moving on from her for some time now. I see this all the time, people complaining about how Angel wouldn't pursue a relationship after what happened with Buffy and while I do agree that casual dating/sex is out of character for Angel (hello Nina), Cordelia was not some random casual okay. She was already a part of his world and his mission so he didn't have to worry about trying to fit her in.
