The Lady is a BATIM-inspired story that got set off by the fanart of @fishymom-art. @h-faith-marr-writeblr, @anika-writes

Monet Garcia is the 37-year-old protag of the story, who left Garcia- Matthews Studios 12 years ago. Back when she was a freshman in college, she met her stalker senior Francis Mattews and the two struck up a friendship over the toon character she had created, Dae the Demon. The two opened up shop together after graduation and things were good, her soon earning the nickname of ‘the Lady’. Things, however, dissolved when Monet started seeing Scott Valiant and Francis confessed his feelings for her. They ended with Francis having full copyright over the cartoon, Monet leaving in a fury, and Francis literally stabbing her in the back.

At the current time, she is married to her second husband Michael (after Scott’s death in a tragic accident a year after they were married). She is in her first trimester and the adoring stepmother to Michael’s two daughters. She returned to the studio after Francis wrote her, hoping to get an apology. She is Spanish on her father’s side and French-American on her mother’s.

Francis Matthews is the 40-year-old antagonist of the story, former partner to Monet and head director to the studio. Although he claimed it was his dream that started the studio on its success, it was really the efforts of everyone else, including the claimed love of his life and co-partner Monet. In hopes of repaying her for everything she did, he started work on trying to make her toons come to life. It turned into an obsession after she left.

Now, he is hiding out in his own section of what remains of the studio, hiding from everyone that remains, including his attempts to create Dae and Dot. He wrote the letter to Monet in hopes that she will be able to fix things. He is the second-eldest member of the studio staff.

Dae the Demon was the mischievous lead member of  ‘Grand Ol’ Time’, a demon trying to gain the souls of the sweet but naive fairy Rose and the kind but religious Lady Dot. Monet created him when she was a college freshman.

Francis’ attempt to bring him to the real world failed horribly, leaving him a constantly melting and reforming monster. However, traces of Monet’s darling demon remain. He is a total mama’s boy.

Rob Polk was the music director of the studio. He and Monet met in college as well- he a junior, she a sophomore. The easily enraged and constantly cranky man came to the studio out of a desire for a steady paycheck. He stayed out of loyalty to Monet, worrying about Francis overworking her.

He was the first to be killed by Francis when the studio fell apart. He wanders the halls of the studio, worshipping Dae. He follows him into helping out Monet. His favorite type of dessert is chocolate cake.

Angelina Carter/Lady Dot: Angelina was the voice to Lady Dot. Lady Dot was Dae’s foil, a religious noblewoman human. Angelina, off-screen, was shy and softspoken and easily manipulated by people. She has a requited crush on Rob.

She was the second person to be killed in Francis’ obsession to bring Monet’s characters to life. Lady Dot keeps to her section of the studio, fearful of being torn apart. Her favorite flower was daisies.

Rose, in the cartoon, was Dae and Dot’s best friend. She is naive, but friendly and sweet. Now, she keeps to herself, although drawn out by Monet’s return to the studio.

Your audio quality does not have to be studio perfect, but please be sure to keep background audio out of your work, and to have relatively good quality.

Show both your speaking and singing skills - We need to see both to consider an audition.

It does not matter how you identify or how your voice may sound. If you think you can rock it, go for it! All auditions will be listened to.

You must have a Discord as form for communication outside of Tumblr. It’s much easier to reach that way.

Working on a drawing of my major characters. Going to give them more details once I finish the proper drawing. Strangely I think Amy (the red one) looks the best in silhouette and the worst in her proper drawing. Making silhouettes is so much fun!
