Make a Bucketlist
Don’t wait until the New Year. Now is the time to make a bucket-list. Summer is over, the cold and dark nights are due to set in. Do something positive, lift your spirits and write a list of things you really want to do. There is no harm in thinking big…..but don’t forget those little things too, they deserve a place on your bucket-list. Anything that makes you happy, any goals you want to achieve or something you have always wanted to do but never managed to do, are all great ideas for your bucket list.
Mix it up a bit. Don’t list activities that are difficult to achieve and leave out the things you know you can do easily. The same with holiday choices or destinations you’d love to visit. Make some of them affordable day trips and maybe one of them a holiday of a lifetime or an adventure that you need to plan and budget for. Goals need to have milestones or smaller steps before you achieve the bigger picture. This helps you to stay on track.
Here are some ideas to trigger your thoughts:
Learn a new skill - A new hobby, learn a language, study for a new qualification
Travel - A new destination, a backpack holiday, an adventure, an activity holiday, a solo break, a city visit break, a cruise.
Self-care - A day at a spa retreat, book a massage, have a facial, join a yoga class, book a wellness break, change your diet, try a new therapy.
Try an outdoor activity - Enjoy a nature walk, go camping, take an air balloon trip, try water skiing, take a break in a log cabin, go on a road trip and take a picnic, buy a bike or scooter, swim in the sea
Try some charity options - Adopt an animal, buy a homeless person a meal, contribute regularly to a food bank, register for a sponsored walk.
