Hi guys,
I may have mentioned before but for those who don’t know within Revolution there are a lot of mini brands like Revolution Pro, XX Revolution, I Heart Revolution and more importantly for today’s post Makeup Obsession.
Admittedly it isn’t one of their brands I use a lot but I saw a eyeshadow palette and it was instant love. Everyone meet the Basic eyeshadow palette for a total bargain of £6.00!!!! Yes you read that right £6.00 for a beautiful eyeshadow palette. This eyeshadow palette has colours that I would personally use everyday because you have lovely pink, mauve and nude tones with hints of glitter that can make any eyelook go from basic to glam really quickly.
Personally I love shadows like these because they blend really easily and have crazy pigment for such an affordable price. This palette has a mixture of matte and glitter shades giving you the perfect soft pink , mauve and nude colour story. Makeup Obsession is actually a really good range to look into because their products are very quality but low in price and some items are actually cheaper then the original Makeup Revolution collection itself.
I’m really excited to start wearing more pink toned nude looks with this palette since I’ve been going for quiet heavy eye looks recently. If you’re looking for a palette to give you a more softer eye look then for sure check this out at revolutionbeauty.com
lots of love

~ Review of Makeup Obsession’s Mega Conceal concealer ~
For my first review of 2021 (doesn’t that sound like such a futuristic year to you? It freaks me out!) I want to focus on a product I absolutely love, and which I’ve bought multiple times. This is Makeup Obsession’s Mega Conceal concealer, and here’s why I adore it so much! 👇
This concealer claims to be long-wearing and contains caffeine, which is a popular ingredient to make eyes look less tired and puffy. Thankfully that’s not a problem I need to tackle at this age, but it’s nice to know this product could help ease the appearance of lacklustre eyes should I need it!
The main thing I love about this concealer is how much coverage it truly gives. I get a lot of breakouts that ALWAYS leave hyperpigmentation marks lying around once they’ve cleared up, and so I need a heavy-duty concealer to give some hardcore camouflage to my face. And this does exactly that in just a few swipes!
A top tip I like to follow to really maximise its full coverage is to let the product sit on my face for a couple of minutes after applying it, so that it can warm up to body temperature and thicken as a result (thanks Robert Welsh!). By the time I blend it in, my red marks have pretty much disappeared and on a good day I don’t even need foundation on top, which is a huge deal for me 🙏
Also, this concealer has a massive doe foot applicator, so you don’t need to keep dipping in and out of the bottle to get more product all the time. This scores massive brownie points for me as most of my hyperpigmentation is on my cheeks, so I need to cover a large area in one go and this feature saves so much time. The product itself blends so easily and doesn’t make my skin oily, patchy or cakey in any way, and the size of the bottle ensures it’ll last you ages.
You get all of these benefits for just £5, so I know I’ll keep coming back to this concealer over and over again as it’s a no-brainer for me 😍

AHHHHHHHHHH
can we just take a moment
Once again, another one of my beautiful friends, the gorgeous Demi, introduced me to the amazing Brand that is; Makeup Obsession. They produce a unique style of products, in the fact that all of them are in compact form and the highest priced item is only £10! Also, each compact has the option to fit into a beautiful palette case, which are available in a variety of sizes and colours. Therefore, you can create a unique selection of products by placing your favourites inside.
The products that are available include; Eyeshadow, Contour, Highlight, Blush and they’ve recently added Lipstick too. I had heard wonderful things about their highlighters, so naturally, I decided to buy one. I picked three shades, two of them shimmers and one of them in a strobe cream.
The first two shades are called Moon and Bare. Moon is a beautiful lilac, which is my favourite shade of highlight to wear and Bare is a lovely rosy pink, which adds warmth to my face and is slightly more subtle. The final shade I bought was Precious, which is a stunning baby blue that adds a dewy glow to my face. At first I was slighly apprehensive about buying a cream highlight as some I’ve tried in the past haven’t been so great. However, I was highly impressed by the pigment and quality of this product, a little goes a long way and it’s absolutely beautiful, a unique shade of highlight. For some reason on the website the strobe balms are under the contour section, however I definitely see this product as a highlighter and will continue to use it as one.
Each of the highlighter were only £3, which is such a cheap price, yet such an amazing quality product – it’s unbelievable! The products are so pigmented, I’d even go as far to say that they could be more pigmented then some higher end brands! Each of the shimmer highlighters has Makeup Obsession’s beautiful star logo imprinted into the product, which is very pretty and I definitely appreciate the added touch.
There are so many different shades in all of the makeup available and for such a good price you can pick up about five compacts for the price of one mid to high range product! I decided to buy a palette to keep all of my products together and I chose a Pink Obsession in a medium size for just £4! For this size, it will hold six singles and you also get a large mirror included – bonus! Each compact can be removed, so once it’s run out you can replace it with another or mix and match depending on how many you have.
I also decided to pick up a matte nude eyeshadow called Pearl, which was even cheaper than the other products at just £2! I like using a nude shade on my eyelids to contrast with my black winged eyeliner and this product is simply wonderful, Plus, it even works as a concealer for my spots if I can’t seem to gain full coverage – who knew!
The only negatives I can think of is that the compacts are fairly small, but for the price I can’t expect them to be huge sizes. Also, Makeup Obsession is exclusive to Boots, so if you don’t have one near then it could be frustrating not being able to see each shade in person. However, once again you can order online – so all is not lost!
I can’t wait to complete my palette and purchases many more shades in the future from this amazingly cheap but quality brand!
