I wanted to do this for both Tamlen and Malanna, because they are in many ways similar, but also not, and I was curious about the results xD I actually burst out laughing at Tamlen being awarded the “sexy intellect in your group of peers” “with incredible intelligence” title. Yes, the guy who almost impales himself on his own dagger, gets kicked off a ledge by a mountain goat, and keeps bottling up everything that bothers him until he explodes. So sexy, very smart, much wow. Overall though, despite not being super-duper accurate, it fits. Malanna’s definitely fits a bit better though xD

Of your OCs, what would they be voted as, if Thedas had such a thing as high school yearbook superlatives?

Okay I have to admit I had to do a quick google search what yearbook superlatives are xD We didn’t have that in school here! But aaahhh okay!!! For some of my Dragon Age OCs:

Tamlen Lavellan: “Most Changed since Freshman year” (or Best Smile, because tbh, yes) - simply because it’s true, Tamlen went through a lot of anger and rebellious phases as a teen that he had really hard to work on and grow out of. He still has a rebellious streak, but he’s learned to control his anger and use it to his advantage, not be controlled by it!

Malanna Lavellan: “Biggest Flirt” probably, or “Best Group Project Leader”! Malanna is rather responsible, always looking out for her friends and motivating them, but not taking any shit from them either. She’s also light-hearted and fun-loving. She’ll also attempt to flirt with almost every pretty lady she sees xD

Laryn Lavellan: “Most Likely to Succeed” definitely. Laryn is very determined and dedicated, competitive even, to a point where it’s sometimes annyoing.

Delas Mahariel: “Most likely to quietly take over the world”. It’s always the quiet ones xD

★ Tamlen is to some degree ambidextrous.

★ Laryn originally felt very resentful about his magic - mainly because it manifested only just too late to protect his family during a bandit attack on the clan. He still blames himself to some degree for his parents’ death.

★ Tamlen was always not quite scared but a little bit intimidated by horses. They are much bigger and, from his perspective, less gentle than the halla he grew up with, so he had a bit of a rough start with them when introduced to them in Haven.

★ Malanna is an excellent archer and eager to become the clan’s next master hunter after her mother.

★ Delas is terrified of heights and really dislikes confined spaces, so he didn’t have the best time in the Deep Roads... and the prospect of one day ending up down there when his Calling kicks in is enough of an incentive to find a cure asap!

❤️ Malanna is a very warm-hearted, cheerful person, and she feels drawn to people with similar characteristics. She is also rather flirty and likes to make people blush, so someone overly serious she either doesn’t get along with to start with or takes as a challenge (”Wanna bet I can make you laugh within the next ten seconds?”). Her partners’ happiness is therefore to outmost importance to her and she’ll always be there to cheer them up - although, when everything gets a bit much, she would want her partner to do the same for her in return.

It was... surprisingly hard to boil it down to 10, there are a few more I’d like to include actually xD But I think the first one in the set has to be my favourite <3 Now I want to go and flycam around though, it’s so much fun D:

Since the ones I picked are rather Tamlen-centric, the snarky daughter and the grumpy son as bonus (because they got some pretty nice shots too and are featured way too rarely in anything :D):

I think I haven’t posted Linaya yet ^^ She’s the one on the left, on the right her younger sister Malanna. They’re two of Tamlen’s cousin, Linaya being 28 years old at the start of Inquisition while Malanna is as old as Tamlen with 26 years. Linaya’s hair isn’t 100% right, I picture it a bit different and darker, but it’s the darkest brown available in the CC and the black doesn’t look very good, sadly. She’s one of clan Lavellan’s blacksmiths, while Malanna is a hunter like Tamlen, and she’s a bit of an older sister figure not only for her actual sister but for most of her cousins, too. She can be a bit blunt, but is actually very caring and protective.

Hmm... to some degree I think it fits for Malanna Lavellan. She is no doubt proud of her heritage, like most Dalish, but she lives more in the present and for the future. She is quick to move on from arguments and generally very forgiving. She is spontaneous and full of life, and even though she has a past with good and bad experiences she doesn’t dwell on them too much. She’s convinced that if you cling to your past and old grudges too much you can never go forward.

“Uhhh, my favourite food? Hmm, I’m not sure. I like all kinds of food, I think. At least nothing comes to my mind that I don’t like at least to some degree.

Same with my favourite color, I’m not quite sure… although I do love warm, bright colors like yellow and red a lot. Like a sunrise! Or like the sails of our aravels.

A random fact, let me think… I have an older sister and 5 cousins that could basically be my siblings too. We’re all rather close and about the same age.”
