oh yea speaking of #FuckStalkerware, i was on the malwarebytes podcast to talk about the previous entry in my blog series!
also on every other podcasting platform :)
all these talks about Sai and here i am wondering how does malwarwbytes give you a vpn?
Both on the desktop and mobile version that's just now a feature with it's free version.
The app and the desktop software will prompt you to start a subscription trial when downloading it for the first time-- which is annoying. But if you get past it, or just remember to cancel the sub, you don't have to pay a dime and you get to keep most of the most useful tools for free, like the VPN.
Is it the fastest VPN on the market? No. But it works well enough to stream in decent quality (mostly. You might have to try a few locations), especially if your wifi is decent, and it's, as I understand it, more secure than some of the overpriced shit like ExpressVPN.
It's the best free VPN I've ever used and better than some of the paid ones.
Tina Pal wants a word about your PayPal account—but it's a scam. Here’s how to spot the red flags and what to do if you’ve already called.
Malwarebytes just tried to block Tumblr due to 'reputation'. Apparently it lacks any.
I have, of course, told my malwarebytes to keep going. Lack of reputation is part of Tumblr's charm.
The Arkansas Attorney General filed a lawsuit against webshop Temu for allegedly being dangerous malware which is after personal data.
Malware.Sandbox.7
Just found out that Malwarebytes (antivirus program) for some reason has flagged all of my RPGMaker MV game files as "Malware.Sandbox .7"? I have no idea how to put malware in anything even if I tried.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Virus alert
I’ve been fighting a computer virus for the last few days. I don’t know how I got it, but ‘Yontoo’ has been making my life miserable, slowing net access to a crawl, freezing browser windows, etc.
I finally bit the bullet and bought a subscription to Malwarebytes, which seems to be working, The next step would have been the nuclear option of re-installing Windows, losing all my programs and data, so the expense is probably justified.
