I wanted to draw The Twin Chefs, but I had no idea, then the reference images gave me an idea. (If you read this, I would like to know your thoughts on what Chief 1 thinks, who seems to be thinking deep down lol) 😄

Verdict: Cheap yummy Taiwanese eats. Definitely an interesting food experience--the dishes are small so you can try a bit of a lot of things. 3.5/5 *Good deal*

Also: It's a pretty authentic Taiwanese restaurant; Chinese is the language of choice. That or heavily-accented English :P 

This was my first experience eating Taiwanese food. Fortunately, I had a Taiwan-raised-and-born person with me to guide me through it :) I love dim sum, aka having lots of small dishes and getting to try lots of things, so this was perfect for me.

We ordered the glutinous rice (the one that is in a barrel), taiwanese hamburgers, wonton in spicy oil, the simmered combination (cold tofu, seaweed, and egg), oyster and chitterling noodles, and red bean pancake.

They were all really good, my favorite being the wonton in spicy oil. Mmm. The taiwanese hamburgers were a bit sour because of the mustard greens, but it worked. The glutinous rice came in a red sweet and sour sauce that I was told, the Taiwanese like to put on everything. 

I got to try chitterling, aka intestine. It's not bad, though kind of funky tasting. 

Red bean pancake was delicious of course. They have a high red bean to dough ratio which is crucial to winning over my heart. It succeeded :) 

It's a very casual informal setting and the service is friendly and prompt, though definitely not like a nice restaurant. Come for a fun, casual meal and keep an open mind/be adventurous if you haven't tried Taiwanese "snacks" before!
