Compotes and jams are nothing but fruit preserved which are cooked thoroughly in sugar syrup. Although almost all the varieties of them are available in the market, it's always good to take out a little time and make your own at home because the ones we bought from the markets have artificial flavors & preservatives which are harmful for our health. Plus, making them at home is not as hard as it looks like ✨ Here's a quick "3 ingredient" recipe of how to make #MangoCompote, full of delightfulness, at home :) Take 2 cups of mango flesh, I used Alphonso but you can choose any variety, just make sure they're not the fibrous ones. Pureé them with a cup of sugar (decrease or increase the sugar quantity depending on the sweetness/sourness of the mangoes). Add them into a pan and put it on high flame over the heat. In a minute or so, it will start bubbling up, make sure you keep stirring it with a spatula. Add a tablespoon lemon juice and keep reducing it on high flame till it has not been reduced to half. Take it off the heat, bring it to room temperature and fill it in a sterilized glass container!
