manhattanbohemes replied to your post: okay i have on my skin right now - toner -...
i should probably figure out a routine for myself but it always sounds so complicated and i immediately give up tbh. glad to know it’s working for you, maybe i’ll try again sometime
i have only been doing this for a few days so who knows what the long terms effects are going to be! i have period acne at the moment so i don’t expect it to start working on that yet LMAO. but my skin really is lovely and soft, and an hour after applying everything it feels simultaneously....clean, and also like i have nothing on it? it’s a really pleasant experience.
i started out with buying this pack, because i wanted something that was a) on sale, b) in a set so i didn’t have to make decisions and c) acne related. i looked into reviews, and a lot of kbeauty bloggers have good shit to say about cosrx, so it seemed like a pretty good bet.
the most basic of steps is to, in the evening, cleanse + use the returning a-sol (it absorbs into your skin in about half a minute tops and smells like tea-tree oil) + use the returning emulsion (light moisturiser). i also use the pimple pads that came with it on my chest and the back of my neck, and the acne patches on a few really bad spots.
the acne patches are AMAZING and DISGUSTING and I LOVE THEM. they suck all the gross goo out of your zits and make the zits smaller and it’s just. very satisfying. and gross.
i’m currently using as a cleanser my rosehip by essano cleanser, which is also lovely and hydrating and i have been really happy with for the last month or so.
the cosrx products i had at this point need you to wear sunscreen as well, and the set came with a sample for missha sun milk 50 spf. i put it on my face and wanted to cry from how lovely it was??? so i went out and got that (this was the expensive mistake i made yesterday oops. the mistake was not getting it online - i used it again this morning and i LOVE IT SO MUCH)
and then i used this post to built a starter kit, and in the meantime am following that regime with my own cleanser. i’ve edited it slightly because i don’t want to use the intense acne treatment yet, so i’m using the milder stuff i got with the cosrx pack.
SO i bought the cosrx good morning cleanser per the post’s rec, which has also reviewed really well, and then the banila co oil cleanser bc it was recced in the post, and also a friend of mine (WHOSE FAULT THIS IS @ravaging!!!!). those are still to come! and i’m using the returning emulsion as my moisturiser because it’s so light and i adore it.
this all happened in the last six days who let me have disposable income
