The engineer shown in the comic is Dr. Lorenza Molina. She helped design aspects of the Latrodectus and acts as Amana’s “guy in the chair” -- but she stands because that’s better for circulation

The mutated beasts are reportedly a result of the high amounts of nuclear radiation used to power civilization

SWARM units are used not only against mutants, but also similar robots developed in rival nations

Other SWARM models include the Caelifera, Coccinellidae, and Apocrita

There are lower-level mechs ranging from A to E classes. These units vary in their weapon capabilities, and often serve other purposes such as transportation, industry, etc...

Cherry’s mother is from America and her father is from Japan. She is a very caring person, so much so that sometimes she can’t help but meddle in other people’s business. Growing up watching exclusively magical girl shows (and sometimes Yugio), she believes that all problems can and will be solved through the power of believing in yourself and nauseating persistence. This is why she might be the worst person to receive a camera with mystical properties that force people to fall in love.

Mr. Varsity Jacket goes by Toshio Sada. He’s has a sparkling personality and loves to make people laugh. His arrogance can sometimes get on the nerves of his friends a̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ occasionally.

Blue boy’s name is Haru Tsujiai. He’s the guy who’s cool on the outside and a nervous trainwreck on the inside. He part times at a coffee shop.

Despite being polar opposites, Toshio and Haru have been friends since childhood. Now, their goal is to prevent (or minimize) the damage caused by Cherry and her camera-shenanigans.

Those affected by the camera’s ability will continue to do so indefinitely until the original photograph of them is destroyed.

Yes her last name is literally just “camera” with a “k.” You can’t really expect much more from me...
