Another beautiful illustration by Adolphe Millot, BIRDS (Oiseaux). Published in Paris circa 1897-1904 - Nouveau Larousse Illustre (New Larousse Illustrated), was edited by Claude Auge.

Millot was a french painter, lithographer, and entomologist and illustrated many of the natural history sections of Le Petit Larousse Encyclopaedia, as the senior illustrator at the National Museum of Natural History, Paris.

Millot was a french painter, lithographer and entomologist and illustrated many of the natural history sections of Le Petit Larousse Encyclopaedia, as the senior illustrator at National Museum of Natural History, France.

A detailed picture of one of the most beautiful pocket maps of New York made in the 19th century: Colton’s Thirty-Three Miles Around the City of New York. It covers New York City and vicinity as far south as Ocean County, New Jersey, as far east as Suffolk County, as far north as Rockland County, and as far west as Somerset County. Surrounded by a splendid decorative border with engraved views depicting “City Hall, New York” and “City Hall, Brooklyn”. Published by J.H Colton and Drawn by G.W.Colton, the year 1847 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⏳ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ G. W. & C. B. Warren of Hobart Town, a Tasmania dog, and the residence of the Van Diemen Land Company’s Agent. One of my favourite cities and places to visit is Edinburgh, always strikes me with its beauty.

I never get tired of climbing the cobbled streets of the Royal Mile in the Old Town and admire the grand Gothic landmarks. Its architecture is both staggering and stunning. 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The best time for me is during the summer when the city comes alive with music and art during the Fringe Festival. 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
