About The Originals & Legacies...
So remember waayyyy back in the Season 3 finale “The Bloody Crown” were most of the original family was put to sleep in order to survive except for Klaus, Hope and Hayley who were either imprisoned (Klaus) or on the run (Hope and Hayley)
Do you remember the date?
Because...assuming we’re following real world time...it was 2016 when that happened and then there was a 5 year time jump...which would’ve made it 2021...
But then season four happened and there was an 7 year time jump...which would’ve made it 2028...
But then again this is still technically set in The Vampire Diaries Universe and in season 7 ep 16 of TVD (April 1st in real world time) there’s been a 3 year time jump...which would be fine because anyone can argue that that was during the time that Klaus was a prisoner and Hayley was running etc.
EXCEPT back on The Originals on the same April 1 there’s an episode that comes out (Alone With Everybody) and the biggest threat around is the prophecy (that hasn’t come true yet mind you) but you have to keep in mind that The Vampire Diaries and The Originals events are happening at the same time. (Or at least they should be)
So if you put all of that together, you have to start at TVD S7EP15 in real world time (May 4th 2016) and jump 3 years making it 2019. In 2019, most of the Original family is in coffins, Klaus is Marcel’s Prisoner, Marcel is the Beast, Hayley’s running and Hope should be around 5ish. Two more years pass, it’s been 5 years in total on The Originals. (Now is 2021) Hope should be about 8ish, the family is awake and Klaus is freed. Hollow happens and then 7 more years go by making it 2028 with Hope being as she is now,15 and The Originals being their usual ancient selves. I’m not gonna even get started on what the date could be when Legacies start...
