FE16

Now this is one of those long and probably pointless posts but there’s a few thoughts I have been sprinkling with others in social media that I’d thought I would like to write up and see if I am just a crazy old bastard or someone who loves Archanea maybe a little too much. Probably both.

My dream FE16 is to be another Archanea saga. Now, you’re probably thinking that I am a biased piece of shit and that Archanea already has four freaking games. But hear me out:

Fe1 and Shadow Dragon have no support conversations. And New Mystery is lacking many supports between characters with Kris being the majority of interaction

Three of those four games are Japan exclusive

Two of those games came out probably before most of the fandom here was even ever born. WE only have simulators and fan translations

Marth and Co. were the first fire emblem game. They are the very face of the franchise and probably one of the lesser known (and less enjoyed) games out of the series. GBA remakes would be nice but there is more access to them and are already great games in themselves.

LORE. Heck there is so much missing lore and other character developments we just have to imply and assume (headcannons are fun but you know, concrete cannon material is nice too).

I get it, you’re sick of my precious little bean being shoved down our throats. I get it, you want a GBA remake. I get it, it’s been done over and over again and we’re running Arhcanea down. But also consider this:

For those who have no clue who I am talking about, Anri is Marth’s descendant. His great-great uncle? I think. Well anyway, Anri’s brother Marcelus, is the grandfather or great grandfather something like that to Marth’s Father Cornelius. Not a direct line but definately blood related. Marth is considered the second Anri for liberating the continent from the Dolhr empire and the Shadow Dragon, Medeus. Anri, not Marth, is the first to weld Naga’s tooth, aka the blessed Falchion and the Fire Emblem.

And honestly that’s all there really is about Anri. Well there’s a little more detail about his love life, the princess of Archanea who married some other op and Anri never married or had kids which is why his brother got the crown when Anri kicked the can. But yeah that’s it.

Well almost. We have two official images from Shadow Dragon (fe11) and New Mystery (fe12) of Anri:

I mean they pretty much depict the same thing: Anri weilding Falchion in his tattered cape and flowing long (blue?) hair holding falchion in front of obviously Medeus who he is about to fuck up.

Yeah. It’s not like we’ve seen similar images and battles before in a fire emblem game. Oh no, this has almost never happened. So original. But that’s how fire emblem works right?

Anyway, the point is, I want FE16 to be Anri’s story. Aside from the little given information:

we get more Archanea and manakete history and lore

a new set of characters (aside from what’s already established)

a classic fire emblem game plot that has plenty of holes to fill in with original content.

Plus it ties in really well with having released Echoes and the fact Archanea needs more content.

Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x Reader

Summary: Klaus being afraid to get close to you because of his enemies and the fact he feels he is not good enough for you. *loosely based off of Demons by Imagine Dragons* 

A/N: this is one of the few imagines I have written for The Originals. I mostly have Klaus ones written but have ideas for the others lined up. If this imagine gets a decent amount of notes, I’ll post the others that I have. I want to be sure you guys are enjoying what I write. YOUR POV 

I walked into the Mikaelson’s compound, in search for Klaus. He promised we would binge watch American Horror Story today, but he hasn’t answered any of my calls. 

I wandered the house and found him in his office, papers spread across his desk. I looked at the scene quizzically. I wasn’t mad at him, exactly. But disappointed because it seemed he had forgotten our plans. And worried. He doesn’t usually ignore me like that. He would have acknowledged my presence by now. 

“Hey, are you alright? You didn’t answer my calls,” I spoke as I leaned against the door frame. 

“Fine. Just busy,” he muttered, not looking at me. I furrowed my brows. 

“Well do you want to take a break? Maybe watch some TV? Or I could help you if you’d like.” 

“No, (y/n). I really need to focus.” 

“Are you sure?” 

“Yes,” he snapped and looked at me. “Having you here would just be a distraction.” 

I felt my heart sink. He’s never spoken to me like that before. 

“Now, if you will find your way out-” 

“Klaus,” I heard Elijah speak from behind me. “Don’t be so rude.” 

“No, its fine,” I spoke softly. “I’m sorry I bothered you. It won’t happen again.” I turned and walked toward the door, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall. 

“(y/n),” Elijah called after me. He must have turned to Klaus because I heard him speak again. “You are ridiculous, brother. You cannot push away every woman that treats you like a person instead of the beast you are. Do you not see the way she feels about you?” 

I heard footsteps behind me. Elijah followed me out the door. He used his speed to step in front of me. I stopped and stared up at him, tears on the brink of falling. Elijah pulled me into his embrace and held me against his chest. I sobbed. I didn’t want to, but I did. 

“Why? This happened to me a lot and I don’t know why. I’m not overbearing or pushy or anything. I don’t know what I did to make him hate me.” 

“It’s not you, sweetheart. He doesn’t hate you. In fact, I suspect its quite the opposite.” I pulled away and looked up at him. Elijah wiped the tears away and continued. “He thinks that by pushing you away, he is protecting you.” 

“From what?” 

“Himself.” I looked at the brother quizzically. “I don’t know his reasons exactly. Niklaus is very complex person. But what I do know is that his idiocy is whats going to keep him from being happy.” 

I nodded. “Just as well. I should have known better than to think this would work out for me.” 

Elijah cupped my face in his hands. “And your negativity towards these situations are whats going to keep you from being happy. You are an amazing person. I’m sure he’ll come around soon,” he concluded and kissed my forehead. “Now, why don’t I take you to lunch. If I know you well enough, then you probably haven’t eaten anything today. Correct?” 

“Yes...” 

Elijah smiled and wrapped an arm around my shoulder as we walked to get food. 

KLAUS POV 

“What the bloody hell did you do now?” Rebekah asked as she stomped into my office. 

“I have not a clue what your on about, Rebekah.” 

“(y/n). The poor thing was outside crying, Nik. What did you do to her?” 

“I told her to leave so I could get my work done. She’s too much of a distraction.” 

“So you broke your promise? I talked to her last night and she was really excited to be spending time with you today. You were supposed to watch Netflix or something.” 

I looked at Rebekah. She continued before I could say anything. 

“Why do you always do this?” 

“Do what?” 

“Push away every girl that gets close to you! She likes you, Nik. She sticks around through all the bullshit. She’s seen you create a blood bath and still hasn’t run off! What are you trying-”

“I’m trying to protect her!” I shouted and sat down in my chair. It all hit me in one big wave. “I’m in love with her.” 

“And that scares you.” 

“I’m not good for her. Not with what I am.” 

“Have you ever stopped to think that maybe she’s good for you? She knows who you are- what you are. And you treat her like she’s your queen. This is how it should be, Nik. This is how love feels. It may hurt sometimes, but you have to pull through all the second thoughts and do what your heart tells you to do once in a while,” she said and walked off. 

I sighed. I messed up real bad this time. I knew what I had to do. 

YOUR POV 

I finished my last fry and sat back. 

“You ate really fast,” Elijah commented. “See what happens when you don’t eat properly?” I nodded. “How was it?” 

“Fantastic,” I responded. “They’re burgers are always satisfying.” I looked at him. “Thank you, Elijah. For everything. I feel like you’re the only sane one left in the family.” 

He smiled. “You’re welcome. You know you can come to me for anything.” 

Just as he finished his sentence, Klaus walked in. He approached our table. “Could I speak to (y/n) for a minute, please, brother.” 

“Of course.” 

“Thank you again, Elijah.” I smiled and stood, following Klaus out the door. I trailed behind him a few steps, a little skeptical after the incident earlier in the day. We walked to a park. It was desolate and quiet except for a few ducks in the pond. 

Klaus found a bench and sat down, motioning for me to join him. I sat next to him and waited for him to speak. We sat in silence for a few moments before he said anything. 

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry I yelled at you. I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. And I’m sorry I broke my promise.” He paused. I could tell this was hard for him. “I’m not the best when it comes to these situations. I’m not good. You’ve seen what I’m capable of. I don’t want you to get hurt. My past haunts me. Whether it be people I’ve done wrong, or myself in certain situations. That is just one of my many demons. And no matter how hard I try, I always seem to revert back to my old ways. I don’t want you to get caught up in that.” 

I grabbed his hand and laced my fingers with his. He looked at me and his hard expression turned soft. “I don’t care about your past. Well, maybe a little, but I’m not worried about that. If I was scared of you, or didn’t care about you, I would have fled a long ass time ago. I know you well enough to know that if you wanted to hurt me, you would have by now. I care about you. A lot.You can’t get rid of me that easily. I’m always going to be here. And when you need me, I will be your anchor.” 

He stared at me and squeezed my hand in response. “And I will be yours.” 

“You are aware that I love you, right?” 

“Very aware. I love you too,” he said and kissed me softly. We pulled apart and he helped me up. “C’mon. Let’s go home and I will follow through with that promise I made you. I’ll even make popcorn.” 

I exaggerated a gasp. “But you hate popcorn.” 

“Yes, I find the smell revolting, but I love you enough to endure it for one night.”

I smiled and kissed him again. “Shouldn’t we go get Elijah. Chances are he’s been waiting at the burger joint in case this went south.” 

“Yes, might as well,” he sighed. I started walking off, but Klaus grabbed me and picked me up, carrying me bridal style all the way back to the restaurant. 

“Glad to see you two worked things out,” Elijah said as we approached. Klaus put me down and wrapped an arm around my waist. 

“(y/n) wanted to come back for you,” Klaus mentioned. 

“Because it’s rude to leave someone waiting,” I said and smacked his chest lightly. 

Klaus took hold of my hand and said, “Don’t be naughty, or I might have to punish you for it.” He kissed my hand lightly. 

“Okay, let’s get home before you two do something you shouldn’t do in public,” Elijah inquired and began to walk home. 

Klaus and I laughed, following behind him.
