Send 💔 for a interrupted kiss
While Nik enjoyed Gryffindor tower, he couldn’t help but wonder as to why Marcus was so quick to always suggest that they spend the night in his own house. It truly didn’t matter to him. It wasn’t like he was here to make friends. Hell, he wasn’t even meant to be courting but still he’d found Marcus on his arm almost as if it were meant to be a thing since the dawn of time. But tonight, Nikolai needed to be where he was meant to be. Sebastian was supposed to be coming around for a visit. The Headmaster was not all too impressed with the timing, so close to the full moon. One wolf was bad enough, but two? One an Alpha and he, the beta, together again. Well it didn’t spell the most forthcoming attitude. But still, it was necessary to keep their bond strong.
I’ve got to study tonight. I promise I’ll make it up to you in the morning.
There was a very good chance that this was not going to work. The owl and note. Spending any amount of time away from his boyfriend was quite distressing. Nearly as distressing as the thought of his Alpha coming tonight. Actually he was fairly certain they were pretty evenly matched. What have you gotten yourself into? Nik let out a soft sigh at the thoughts and tried his damnedest to get it together. It was one night. Not the end of the world.
Though he was not surprised when the Lion came to stand in the Slytherin common room. It was well after curfew and that coy little smirk did not help Nik to tell him to leave. No. Marcus had the note in his hand and he looked at it and then Nik and back again. “Nice try.” Marcus crumbled the paper, tossing it into the half flames of the grand fireplace. The smirk that pulled on Nik’s face wasn’t his normal. No, this was one to where he was amused and also annoyed. Not that he was looking at Marcus, but that he’d asked him to stay and he didn’t.
The book on his lap slowly fluttered shut and he’d found himself sending both arms across the back of the sofa as they’d taken to a good old fashioned stare down. “And here I thought you adhered to all of the rules of the grounds.” He teased, his head tipping slowly back as Marcus crawled onto his lap and squeezed his thighs around Nik’s waist. That moan that escaped his lips caused a truly wicked one to spread over the Lion’s features and Nik knew he couldn’t deny him. There was still time. There had to still be time.
Marcus’ hands went to his shirt, jerking him forward. “Don’t do that to me.” His tone was soft but still firm. Nik’s short nails dug into the material and he’d snapped his teeth at the other, leaning into him now. Their lips just hovering over one another’s at this point. Eyes still trained on one another is if they’d known looking away would give the other the upper hand. “I’m sorry.” Nik spoke softly and found himself leaning in flush. Their lips lightly grazed one another’s and Marcus was simply not satisfied with it. His fingers clenched the fabric of the Slytherin’s shirt and jerked him again. Their teeth clanked but neither could be bothered to stop before they’d gotten to kiss.
He’d never experienced this sort of passion before. Not until Marcus Coventry had entered his life had he truly experienced something quite this … primal. Every fiber of Nik’s being ached to be with Marcus. It’d been this way since they’d first met and he wasn’t one to deny himself. And he would never deny Marcus. So long as he could help it anyway. Their kiss didn’t stop. No, their tongue were now very much involved and Nik’s hands had come to hold onto Marcus just as they should always. Shirts became untucked and the soft slaps of their lips could be heard echoing back to them from the common room walls. How was it at seventeen he’d managed to find everything he’d wanted? Marcus was truly …. well he couldn’t get into that. His Alpha was on the way and he knew Marcus’ scent would still be lingering, for the time he just wanted to enjoy his boyfriend and … well, he wasn’t saying no to how this had all started out.
“Nikolai.” The voice was quite stern and gave no leeway at all. Nik’s head jerked from Marcus’. Their lips parted and he’d exhaled hard. He hadn’t expected him to walk into the school. And was even less thrilled he’d managed to find him with ease. Or was this how it was meant to happen? He couldn’t imagine the Headmaster would have allowed this. No this was all Sebastian. He’d have his way or nothing would happen. At least nothing good. Nik slowly untangled himself from the Lion, leaving him to lay on the sofa and stood tall. He didn’t look down at him though he knew Marcus was boring holes into him as he’d turned away. This wasn’t normal behavior for Nik, not when it’d concerned his boyfriend anyway. “Stay still.” He spoke under his breath to the other.
Those eyes were damn near glowing by the time Sebastian and Nikolai had finally looked at one another. Nik was in trouble, that much as clear. Though he seemed to stand a better chance being inside, and … well, with eyes on them. And Sebastian hadn’t missed the defensive stance Nik had taken. He also hadn’t missed out on the looks exchanged between them or the amount of …. well he was well aware what his beta had been up to and it shown on his face how disappointed he’d become in a matter of moments.
“I think it’s best you tell him to go.” Sebastain’s tone was unwavering and further proved to Nik exactly how much trouble he was in. The quaking behind him was enough to keep him from sliding into complete obedience. His brow furrowed and Sebastian instantly lowered his head, a growl escaping from his lips. “сейчас!” He shouted and sent Nikolai back a step or two in Marcus’ direction. He knew he’d have explaining to do after the fact. And he was certain as soon as he turned around the flurry of questions was going to be unmatched.
“Marcus?” Nik finally spoke, his eyes still trained on Sebastian. He wouldn’t look away, more like couldn’t. The fact that the Lion didn’t respond was cause to hurry this along. Sebastian loved a lot of things and invoking fear was right at the top. The man behind him wrecked of it. It almost made Nik’s jowls start to water but he couldn’t. He couldn’t bear the thought of his fear quenching some animialistic tendency. “You need to go.” His arm outstretched and he turned to look over his shoulder. Those blue hues gleaming with confusion to meet his own. “I need you to go. I can’t explain but I promise to come find you after.”
The fury of his voice filled the space enough for all three of them and Nikolai knew this was not going to end well. All he wanted was for Marcus to listen to him. Just once. Normally he’d have found it endearing but tonight the stakes were higher than just a more aggressive romp in one of their beds. Nik’s face turned back to Sebastian and he felt his lip pull up, snarling as the Alpha hunched down lower, threatening to take care of the problem himself. “Marcus.” Nik’s voice was deep and unchanging. He felt the halt shake the Lion to his core and while he hated it, that sort of dominance was necessary for this moment. “Go!”
The sound of scuffing shoes going backwards through the common room was all the answer he needed. Nikolai knew he owed Marcus. He owed him so much for just this alone but the rest? Well he’d have to get through Sebastian’s visit and whatever was left Marcus was welcome to tear to shreds. So long as he could keep hold of him …. Don’t even think that.
“Oh please get over yourselves. He’ll be fine.”
