"the protag and his male bestie...are in this canon limbo...so as you can imagine SO much of the fandom discourse is an attempt to prove that they are, in fact, canon...MEANWHILE. THE TRITAGONIST. THIRD MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER. IS CANONICALLY BISEXUAL. SHE CANONICALLY KISSES HER NOT-GF ON SCREEN IN LIKE EPISODE 3. and people act like the only important Gay Rep Question of samflam is whether or not the main character and his bestie are canon...it feels insane to sit in fandom and see endless debates about masagoto...being canon or not when maya and moe are canonically gay...WHO CARES ABOUT THOSE MEN..." "Not only is Samurai Flamenco criminally underrated and kind of a flop...Mari and Moe are often overshadowed by the big M/M ship in the series among what fans of the show do remain." How is Misa Amane/Rem (Death Note) maligned?

"i think just the fact of being women in death note is enough to qualify. like misa dedicates her life to light in the worst written way possible and then doesn't even get mentioned in the fucking ending or epilogue of the manga...meanwhile rem comes to love (yes that is the term used) misa enough to DIE for her but not only is the build up to this incredibly bare bones, she literally goes out of her way to explain 'don't worry it's NOT in a gay way' and that is. I had the privilege of making your gift this year! You stated you’d be happy with anything, so I was really allowed to just... do whatever I felt like?

And I felt like maybe it would be cute if Moe and Mari went on a picnic date and Moe kissed Mari’s forehead and Mari would hesitate for a moment before pulling Moe into a hug and- gosh I just though they’d be cute!
