Elena and Mateo tell their children about Elena’s pregnancy
“Are you sure you are pregnant?” Mateo asked still in disbelief.
“Yes, I took several potions and the doctor told us too. Mateo we are going to have another baby.”
Mateo smiled looking at his wife.
“I guess we have to tell the kids about their new baby brother or sister,” Mateo whispered kissing Elena on the lips.
At dinner that night Elena looked at their kids, thirteen-year-old Miguel and nine-year-old Mariana and then at her husband. Mateo nodded.
“Miguel, Ana, we need to talk.”
“Ivy Jorge and I didn’t mean to dig up the schoolyard,” Miguel yelled.
“It was Robby’s idea for what happened today in school, he is an idiot.”
“Ummm, Miguel, Mariana what did you two do?” Mateo asked.
“Nothing,” both kids said at the same time.
“Well as I was saying, we need to talk. There is something going on with me. I have been feeling under the weather lately. It is because I’m growing someone inside of me.”
Elena saw the gears turning in her kids’ heads.
“What, mama, what’s wrong with you?” Miguel asked.
“Miguel, you idiotic codfish, mama is pregnant. She said someone is growing inside of her. That means a baby. Let’s hope it’s not as dumb as you,” Ana yelled.
“Mariana, don’t call your brother an idiotic codfish. Also yes your mama is pregnant,” Mateo said kissing Elena on the lips.
“Mariana Sofia, you on thin ice young lady. Don’t call your bother names or the baby. What did you, Robby and I assume River do? I’m going to talk to Naomi and Gabe about what happened. Also Miguel Raul, I’m going to talk to Ivy’s dad and Jorge’s parents later,” Elena yelled. Miguel and Ana both being in shock for their mother’s reaction. Elena started to cry as Mateo pulled her into a hug.
“Elena, calm down,” Mateo whispered into her ear. Ana looked at her brother than mother than back to her brother, her purple glasses slipping down her nose. She pushed them back up.
“Sorry, mama, papa,” both kids apologize. Elena stopped crying and started to regain herself.
“Sorry, Mijos, the baby is changing my hormones,” Elena whispered.
“Mama, how many months pregnant?” Ana asked.
“Almost three months, so In about six months you two will have a new baby brother or sister,” Elena said putting a hand on her small baby bump.
“Miguel, Ana, want to feel the baby?” Elena asked. Both kids nodded, walked over to their mother and put their hands on her baby bump.
“Are you two happy to have a baby brother or sister?” Elena asked absolutely beaming.
“It will be nice to have a sibling who is not an idiot.”
“I hope it’s will be nicer than Ana.”
“Ahh, let’s hope so,” Elena sighed.
