Biglaang laag with the squad!
📍marilog district
Itong trip na to. May nakita lang kaming post sa facebook, ang ganda! and since ang lapit lang sa davao mga 45 mins ride lang. Nag go na kami!
Nung pumunta kami dito mga 9 o clock na. So medyo late na. Di na namin nakita ang sea of clouds! (Mas maganda daw kasi pumunta dito ng madaling araw para mas ma appreciate ang view) di kami nakapunta ng maaga since that day may job interview yung isa sa min. On that day pinapareport na rin sana siya, buti na lang napakiusapan so natuloy yung laag! 😂😂 Dumaan muna kami sa office nila while he do his interview. Hinintay lang namin siya sa jollibee (ang bilis natapos ng interview niya! 30 mins lang! Nakabalik na agad siya! So tuloy ang laag! 😁)
Going to that place! Super enjoy namin! Since kasama barkada. May nakita pa kaming aso sa daan! Ang cute! Google map lang talaga guide namin that time, pati yung post sa facebook. Medyo nawala pa nga kami ng konti since di kita agad yung liko papunta dun sa mismong place!
When we got there we paid 10 pesos each for the entrance. Medyo na disappoint kami. The place was under construction!
We got the most of our 10 pesos entrance and gas papunta dun sa place! Nag picture picture kami! Di na kami masyadong nag tagal dun. Less than an hour lang since wala naman ibang magagawa dun. The view was great! Yun lang. Maganda lang talaga pang picture2x. 🤦🏼 I think the place was not really meant for public. Mukha siya bahay bakasyunan. But since di pa naman tapos yung place inopen muna nila for public for picture taking since maganda naman ang view, and para may pang meryenda na rin ang workers dun! (Idk theories lang to! 🤷 haha)
In the end! Na scam kami nung post. Ok na lang since ang ganda naman ng pictures namin. Instagram worthy so ok na lang din. Enjoy naman. Atleast we get to see first hand yung nag trending na picture! ❤👌🏻

[dropcap]C[/dropcap]orny? How about “Everlasting Power of Love” or EPOL Waterfalls? Well, the Matislaog (one of the indigenous people tribes of Marilog District) story says this falls was witness to a forbidden love- secret affair of lovers that got separated and eventually reunited in old age. Cheesy? There’s a modern version for this story. Rumors have it that the former Green Valley…

Tricky Facebook Ad?
Who wouldn’t be captivated by this post below. As of writing, there are already 4867 shares and 2.5 comments. This place was also featured in different newspaper and TV ads so it sounded like a great place. Thus like many others, we got lured to the scenic view and booked our trip right away.
We imagined a night and day fellowship time. That the whole house will be for us.…

As planned, from Alice Loghouse, we immediately proceeded to the talked ‘Curtains in the Woods’. True to its nickname, Epol Falls indeed give off a theater-like curtains aura as the water perfectly falls in synchronized rhythm. Just how impressive nature can be?
From the house, it will take a more or less 30 minute-trekking to the falls. You can ask Jennifer* (Alice Loghouse tenant) to guide you there. She knows the place well so rest assured that the route you take (with her) will lead you to the right waterfalls. :D
Did I forget to mention that the 30-minute walk excludes the picture taking, the waiting and the endless chitchatting? Yes, I did forget to say that. So this is FYI. Haha! But you just can’t help it because:
(1) You will pass by garden after garden after garden. And you don’t want to miss every plant species that the locals have. Pine trees are in bloom since it’s cold up there. That’s just so Baguio-like!
(2) The stillness of the Bukidnon-Davao Road allows you to strike some IG-worthy poses or not-so-IG-worthy poses. Haha!
(3) Pictorial with the signage is obligatory! That’s one proof you were there.
(4) It’s your first time to trek and commemorating your every first is a must! (I mean, it was my first time to trek and I didn’t have one photo, even. Urgh!)
So, it might take you at least an hour to get to the waterfalls! But you don’t need to rush. Epol Falls will be diligently waiting for you.
CAUTION!
Your soul will be spiraling in frozen fractals all around, And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast.
♫ Let it go! The cold will bother you anyway! ♪ ♫ (But just don’t let it show, or your photo shoot will be ruined! Gosh, no!)
And, where there is water there’s jumping! It’s slippery though, be careful!
If you can tolerate the freezing temperature, you can stay as long as you want. But nah! Worry not, for a bowl of hot Nilagang Baka can always thaw a frozen heart. And satisfy a hungry tummy. Ha!
And now, because Elsa is leaving Arendelle for a spring bath in Epol, it’s curtain call. Let’s pack up!
Credits to Mac Lester and Lee Jun for the photos.
