Mario Run, but make it Metroid Dread. Allow me to explain.
So I had a dream last night that Nintendo released a trailer for a Mertoid Dread mobile game that kinda plays like Mario Run with metroid elements and additions. Overall the trailer went like this:
Levels are almost set up like Mario Run where you go through the different biomes in the game with the last stage being the E.M.M.I zone
Samus will auto run and will vault over short ledges
Controls went as followed
○ Swipe up to jump/wall jump, again to
○ Swipe down to slide, swipe down twice to
roll into the morph ball (Swiping up once
will make you exit the morph ball)
○ Tap the screen to shoot a beam shot
○ Press and hold to send out a charge shot
○ Double Tap to send out a missiles
○ Double Tap then hold for super missiles
○ Other abilities weren't explained, but they
Central Units fights would take place in a Free Aim section. Controls would be modified to fit accordingly.
At the end of the E.M.M.I zone once you get the Omega Cannon, you'll rapidly tap to rapidly fire and press and hold to charge up and do the finishing blow.
Once that biome is completed, Samus will get the power corresponding to the E.M.M.I and will be allowed to revisit old biomes with updated layouts to match abilities obtained
Special events would also appear in the game which would give you alternate costumes, reskinned abilities, as well as stages based off other games in the series. (They also teased playing all SA-X and Dark Samus each with their own abilites and costumes)
A Fusion style difficulty would also be implemented at a later date for those looking for a challenge
A Zero Suit mode was also in the works for those looking for a different kind of challenge. She would slide like she could in the power suit as well as crawl like in Zero Mission.
The trailer closed off showing the various costumes for Samus, Zero Suit, SA-X, and Dark Samus followed by a release date for "Summer of 2022". It was a wild like 15-20 minutes and I'm not sure if it was the Thanksgiving meal or what that made me dream of this.
