“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” -Albert Camus
Happy fall!
Doesn’t matter where. You find a place that resonates with you, clicks with you. I love when that happens.
It is the turn of the tide, the ride fought and won, or the fight still going and you have not stopped.
Adaptation; growth found in days spent seeing a new day, finding one's footing, balancing the war within, is more than enough to be proud.
And if times are tough, hopes waning, life scuffing your joints and limbs, it is still a moment to celebrate.
You are still going, dear soul. That is more than enough to rejoice.
--M.Le. Smith
That moment you get an icebreaker and hope you don’t crack.
Note after the cut.

Hey everyone!
I have a few ideas in mind to illustrate, but before I keep going, I want to make sure everything’s okay on this blog. If you don’t mind, please choose a letter or letters from the list below of what you would like to see in the future.
A Types of Empaths Series and Empath Types Series.
B Stone Series (just stared with rose quartz and hematite).
C More content (mainly more reblogs and links from other sources).
D Artwork that ties to challenges like Illustration Friday and Nagranowrimo.
E More of your art. Any subject. Illustrations, comics, anything. Go crazy.
F Actually, I think things are fine. Maybe change the day you post?
G Don’t change anything. You’re fine, keep going.
(links are in italics)
Again, you can choose more than one letter. I set this post up for replies below, but you can also answer via ask or reblog. I’ll close the post’s reply feature on Wednesday and go from there. Thank you so much for sticking with this blog and I’ll be back in a few days!
EDIT 08/27/15: Annnd it’s closed. If you still have a reply please do so below, or via ask or reblog. Thanks!
Ah, plant empathy. Okay, let’s go backwards a few minutes.
A few weeks ago, I posted an illustration and a few paragraphs about [natural empathy] and to a lesser extent, geomantic empathy. To recap quickly, natural empathy is the ability to connect and share energy with nature. Geomantic empathy, a branch under natural empathy, is the ability to be attune to the natural occurrences of the earth.
If we think about it in Hebert’s terms--like his definitions of [cognitive] and [emotional empathy]--natural empathy is similar to the abilities of a shaman empath, an empath that has the ability to connect with nature and speak with plants and animals*. I’ll tackle shamanic empathy in the future.
Now that we’re up to speed, let’s talk about plant empathy. Guessing from what’s recapped above, it’s the ability to be attuned to plant life and their energy. Like the [animal empath], a plant empath--also known as a flora empath--can sense a plant’s emotional and physical state. They are able to sense if the plant is sick or dying from natural occurrences (storms, disease, rot), or feel a plant’s pain if it had been stepped on, cut, or pruned. They may feel happy around a plant or know if the plant needs food, water, or sunlight. Have you ever felt at ease around a plant? Nervous?
Like animals, plants can also return this connection. There’s an old discussion about plants [here]. Please keep in mind, the main focus of the post is not about plant empathy but the comments do discuss a few behaviors plants may have toward energy.
Anyone can be empathic to plants, empath or not. Some empaths do not have plant empathy, others do. Welcome all the same. :)
Notes and sources after the cut:
A strong mineral, hematite is a great for grounding. Although it looks like a shiny, silver-like metal, hematite can also be red (if you grind it into a powder); it also has traces of iron, a major protector against harm in lore.
Hematite can help strengthen the body in a few ways. Core areas are the blood and circulatory system and body temperature. Because it is a great grounding stone, hematite stabilizes and helps people focus. To recap, when using hematite, keep these words in mind: strength, stability, balance, protection, and grounding.
For those who use stones for chakras, hematite energy is great for: base / root.
Extras: Not sure if this is coincidental, so please do not take this to heart. I found that when my electronics act up and I place my hematite next to them, they function properly again. I don’t mean when my electronics are really bad off (virus, full drive, faulty registry, or other hardware and software problems). Let’s say my device isn’t loading properly or it froze. When I placed hematite next to it, the device gets over the hiccup and functions again. Has anyone experienced this with their hematite?
Note: The passage above the line is not the entire description of hematite or what the stone can do. Just some information on the stone.

But rest is more important. Take care of yourselves.
