I've been thinking about how Lottie was the one making a "Funeral" for Laura Lee, the only one that died trying to escape the wilderness and not in it, and she is the one that doesn't see the plane when she dies because her soul has never left the wilderness. But Nat was the one apologizing to Jackie's bones and Van was the one showed mourning and saying Mari's name, both Jackie and Mari died in the winter in different ways and both Nat and Van saw the plane when they died outside the wilderness because this is their own hell, coming back to that place (and i think its the rescue plane since its different from the one that crashed) and how both of them were killed while they were struggling to live. And also both Jackie and Nat were non-believers and even so Jackie had a hallucination before dying and Nat died in Lottie's compound attending another hunt that she said would not participate again. But with Mari and Van they were both believers but as the situation got worse in the wilderness both of them stopped believing and Mari died in a hunt, we never saw if she had a hallucination, but Van died after the rescue because she could not believe in the wilderness power of sacrifice anymore.
