THE PASSAGE (picked up to series)

Note: This is the second version of a pilot, originally filmed last season but reconceived with new footage to be shot in March; former cast members Genesis Rodriguez, BJ Britt and Jennifer Ferrin have departed from the project

Based on author Justin Cronin’s best-selling trilogy of the same name, The Passage is an epic, character-driven thriller about a secret government medical facility experimenting with a dangerous virus that could either cure all disease or cause the downfall of the human race. Spanning over a century, the series focuses on a 10-year-old girl named Amy Bellafonte, who is chosen to be a test subject for this experiment and Brad Wolgast, the Federal agent who becomes her surrogate father as he tries to protect her.

Mark Paul-Gosselaar (Pitch) as FBI agent Brad Wolgast, who has a tragedy in his past that drives him to form a paternal bond with Amy. (Jun 1, 2017)

Saniyya Sidney (American Horror Story) as Amy Bellafonte, who seems to have special powers that allow her to communicate with “virals,” terrifying monsters that once were human. Through flashbacks, Amy tells her tale, which is directly tied to the genesis of these creatures. After her mother dies, Amy is retrieved from foster care for Project Noah, a secret, government-funded, medical research facility in Colorado, where a drug is being tested that turns people into lethal killing machines but also unleashes psychic abilities.
