Back from #WalesComicCon (@walescomiccon) in (not so) sunny #Wrexham in #Wales Mission accomplished as I got meet and add #MarkAddy (#KingRobertBaratheon) & #LiamCunningham (#SerDavosSeaworth) to my #GameOfThrones autograph collection, as well as #MarkMeer (#CommanderShepard) to my #MassEffect autograph collection, plus meet the art legend #JohnHowe (artist behind #TheLordOfTheRings movies) too. #MarkAddy as #sirJohnHotham in #TheHypocrite at #rsc #hulltruck #stratforduponavon drawn by me. One of the big problems with these drawings is the performance is so fleeting, I have to get the strong images in my head as it's happening, no cameras allowed. It's after, weeks after seeing the show, when I get around to drawing this, I have to rely on the #rsc photos online as reference, but only as reference, not to copy. There have seemingly been countless adaptations of #RobinHood over the decades. 🎯 From Errol Flynn to Kevin Costner to Cary Elwes, and everyone in between. One of the seemingly forgotten ones was this 2010 film directed by #RidleyScott and streaming on @hboasia. ➡ You'd think reuniting with his Gladiator co-conspirator @russellcrowe, they'd have made a killing, but this film apparently didn't reach those heights. This star-studded version includes #CateBlanchett as Marian, #OscarIsaac (before becoming a star) as Prince John, @mrmarkstrong as Godfrey, #MarkAddy as Friar Tuck, @thekevindurand as Little John, #WilliamHurt as Marshal, and #MaxVonSydow as Walter Loxley. It's a slightly different take on the Robin Hood legend but the basic elements are there. The Full Monty Revival Series Coming To Disney+

More than 25 years after they barred it all for the first time in The Full Monty, the boys, or rather middle-aged men from Sheffield, are back for an encore. Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Hugo Spear, Will Snape, Steve Huison, and Tom Wilkinson will all be reprising their roles from the original blockbuster comedy in a new TV series for Hulu (or Star via Disney+ for viewers outside of the US).  Costing around $3.5 million to make, The Full Monty grossed more than $250 million worldwide and became one of the most profitable British movies of all time. Released back in 1997, The Full Monty told the heartwarming story of a group of former steelworkers in Sheffield finding an inventive way to make some money after theyve been made redundant.
