Do you think Mark or Jack have ever seen your fanfics? I've always wondered if they ever scroll through fanficition. Its a massive part of their community so I would guess they would

I think they would avoid it, tbh. Probably have tags blocked and stuff too.

Because, no offense to anyone in this blog, I love ya’ll, but some of you have some obsessive fantasies with Jack and Mark’s characters. When I was writing for the Youtuber themselves, I got bombarded with some requests that I thought were just... disrespectful? Not really the word I’m looking for but close enough. 

I had to put my foot down many times, saying that I do not write for Youtubers anymore, because the community just THIRSTED for them, and it was really weird to me.  They’re attractive guys. But some of you...take it too far. And when I said “no”, alot of you threw a fucking tantrum. I even had someone make multiple accounts and try to “report” me. Like guys... get slapped with a brick of reality for a second. They never actually reported me but I had heaps of messages, copy and pasted, saying they would because I said “no” to a Markiplier nsfw request.

The egos I allow to write for that way because their characters. They’re no way mine, and everything I write is probably far against canon. 

And in that sense, I would think Jack and Mark probably no longer read or look through fan-ficition because, lets be real, it is cringey. They probably find it weird.  But I think they also accept the fact that it exists. But since the whole Septiplier bullshit, they no longer want to read anything of fanficiton again!!!

❓- Favorite Candy/Sweets?

You feel yourself slowly enveloped by a thick, black fog. Though it makes you incredibly uneasy, you notice it doesn't hurt you even as it surrounds your entire body and direct line of sight. All that you see now is an endless void of black, filled with whispers and distant cries. A cold rush of air hits your skin and a man in a black tuxedo appears before you. His skin is faded gray and seems almost... cracked.

"Hello.. Bethany."

His voice echoes endlessly around you, filling you with a terror that makes you stand perfectly still.

"It is good to see you again. It has been quite some time now... I've been lost to the void, swallowed by it. The answer to why I am here now evades me. Perhaps chance? Regardless..."

He approaches you and leans down so he can be level with your eyes.

"My favorite sweet is chocolate. Dark chocolate. The thick, bitter taste on my tongue is... infatuating."

You see a brief flick of his snake-like tongue between his lips as he gives you a toothy grin.

"Until next time, my dear."

This ISN’T meant to object to anything you’ve said, but . . . I still don’t quite understand why people are so angry? For months, I’ve seen theorists joke around about how Mark loves to mess with us, and that everything he does is in good fun. I’m kinda confused as to why people are so upset now. I mean, the fan art and fics and theories that have come from these jokes are AWESOME! I thought that was what Mark wanted from this: A way for us all to create and have fun together. Was I . . . Wrong?

I’m not going to speak for everyone so I’ll give how I feel about this.

The fan art etc was incredible and I’m glad Mark enjoyed people getting creative in that regard.

Mark has indeed poked fun out of theorists but it was well within the hype that surrounded WKM.

What makes this different (for me at least) is that he purposefully threw people through a loop. There is no end result to the things he posted. He knew that people would get hyped with the new cryptic stuff and the fact that he came out and said that he did it because he wanted people who come up with theories to go around in circles for no reason shows contempt for the theorists in the community.

Not only that, it also feels that he has singled out a part of the fandom and made them feel foolish for wondering where the posts were going to lead only for him to pull the rug out from under them.

I feel a lot of people poured a lot of time and effort to work out what was going on and there have been some amazing thoughts surrounding it so to hear Mark pretty much mock them for doing so is disappointing.

I'm used to being mocked by youtubers, that's the reality of a fanfiction writer. We never get the light of day and when we DO it's because some youtuber dug up a weird and creepy fic and used it to laugh at the author who wrote it. That's just what all of this reminded me of. While I don't think Mark did it because he holds any animosity towards the theorist community, he clearly doesn't understand what we do and why. It's a joke to him, just like fanfics are to internet culture as a whole.

It’s disappointing to see other branches of creativity being mocked on in any manner. Just look at YouTube channels that do Cringe Art videos. It can really knock the confidence in someone and even discourage others to even start.

I do hope that Mark will eventually see the value in peoples’ theories, no matter how deep they go with them.

I respect your opinion and everything Yes what he said was wrong and I'm disappointed in him for that but I do not think it was intended to be malicious or anything like that from what we have seen from him he's not a bad or manipulative person he made a dumb prank that ended up people taking it away to far.

Oh goodness no! One very misjudged decision doesn’t make him a monster! I’m disappointed and his prank has knocked a lot of confidence out of me in terms of theorising him and his egos but I’m not going to throw him under the bus for his lapse in judgement.

Mark is still a good man. He’s done a lot of good with his influence. It’s very easy to forget that when emotions are high. He has helped me through some very dark days, I’m not taking that away from him.

Again, I totally agree that his intentions were not meant to be seen as malicious but singling out a branch of the fandom and winding them up isn’t cool.

Im not trying to be rude but I really think it's ridiculous that people are calling Mark horrible or whatever when it comes to the whole situation,I mean yh people are into the theories and that but it's not real and he knows it's not real so why would he take it seriously like everyone else seems to?People find it okay to insult mark frequently anyway, why cant he have a joke too?Or I missing something about the whole situation?Im saying all this with no hate, I just really wanted to say smthn!

I get what you’re saying. Of course we know that it’s not real, however, for some, theorising is a passion. It’s their creative outlet and to reduce it down to something to be ridiculed can make it seem like an unworthy pursuit. No one should feel that way about their outlet.

Again, and I can’t believe I have to repeat myself here, I KNOW Mark’s intentions were not malicious but he has underestimated the level of dedication that some show towards theorising and saying that he wanted to make people go in circles with theories for no reason is punch in the gut for some.

I’m not saying he’s a terrible person. He is a good man and has used his influence for good more than enough times but on this occasion it was a rare lapse of judgement.

Annus seemed surprised, he wasn't expecting such a ... sensitive question. The scruffy man in white turned to his partner, Unus, and offered a look of awe. The smaller of the two seemed to shrug, eager to answer the question.

"I can't quite say who I have a crush on, or why... rather that he spends much of his time licking the dust off of Takis."

Unus gave a sly smirk, knowing his statement couldn't've gone over Annus' head. The denser looking man hid a flush of red on his cheeks by dipping his chin slightly. He cleared his throat before answering the next question.

"A habit you say? Well, other than ah... licking dust off of Takis, I have a habit of day dreaming. About life... and death- and how one day, we, all of us, shall die with no one but our own consciousness to keep us company until our last breaths."

Unus nodded in agreement with Annus, and before the reader could say much in return, the sound of a ticking clock could be heard and everything faded to black.
