Hi, I’m Jamie.
(QnA)
I just moved to Marrow Creek for work, and I figured I’d make a blog to keep track of some of the stuff I find here. There’s a lot of old signage, abandoned houses, and leftover tech around town, it’s kind of stuck between decades in a way that’s really interesting.
I’ve always liked weird bits of local history and analog stuff, so I thought this might be a fun side project. Mostly photos, notes, maybe some short videos if I can get my old camcorder working again.
Not expecting this to blow up or anything, just wanted somewhere to dump things I come across.
Anyway, hi from Marrow Creek.

Monday night traffic.

Someone asked how big Marrow Creek is, I think the population’s around 2,000?
It feels emptier though. I’ve walked whole blocks without seeing anyone.

Hiked down by the creek trail today. The water’s this weird pale green color, probably minerals or algae, right?
Still, it looks cool in photos.

$10 and probably still works. I’m tempted.

This town gets so quiet after dark. Like, no traffic, no bugs, nothing. Just the sound of my fridge.
City brain still isn’t used to that.

Library’s quiet tonight. Just me and the hum of the old fluorescent lights.
Someone donated a box of encyclopedias from 1975- they smell exactly how you’d expect.
