I started Outlander again! I've a question though - when I read it the first time I stopped after Jamie and Claire started having sex so much - I don't mind sex scenes in the least BUT it seemed like the plot stopped in favor of smut. Is it like that through the whole series or is it just ~new relationship~ can't keep their hands off each other thing that gets less prominent as the story goes on? (Does that make sense?)
The first book is definitely because it’s the “honeymoon period”. They are going to be going at it a lot. But the rest of the books have a lot of plot. Yes there’s smut but it doesn’t over-take the story, if that makes sense. The smut just kind of goes with the territory of them being so deeply in love that they can’t help it sometimes? lol But trust me, there is no loss in plot. The amount of detail Diana has in her books, you find yourself re-reading because you go,”Oh! I can’t believe I missed that the first time!” or “Holy crap that’s something so minor that you didn’t think was important but really is!” Sorry for rambling but I love them so much. Thank you for asking my opinion, it means a lot! :D
