Ok... Just because Martin pays four dollars does NOT mean - under any circumstances - that he is magically a good character. The only silver lining that I can see from him is the fact that if it weren’t for him the Ferris wheel kiss wouldn’t have happened but, even if the kiss didn’t happen, Simon eventually would have found out Blue was Bram when Bram was ACTUALLY ready and so was Simon

MARTIN ADDISON BOOK VS. MOVIE

Hey guys. This is my first tumblr note. Watch me crumble. So today I just watched Love, Simon, and yeah "Why so late?", well maybe because I just happen to live in a third-world country where they can't even demand movies sooner. So I've read Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 shining stars guys. Go read the fuck out of it the pages will disintegrate. And upon watching the film just now, MOVIE MARTIN ADDISON ACTS MORE LIKE A DONKEY MORE THAN A DONKEY DOES, not that I have anything against donkeys but THAT'S MY POINT. I mean I could have used a different animal, but I can't imagine another animal for the JERK NAMED MARTIN ADDISON. Now, in the novel, yeah Martin was a jerk too, I feel like if Martin were a character in the HP series, he'd be Dobby. Except he's not ironing his hands just to protect you but threatening to iron your hands to win the hand of a girl. I mean who does that? WOMEN ARE NOT OBJECTS AND THEY DO NOT NEED A SUPERHERO, THEY CAN BE THEIR OWN SUPERHEROES. But nevertheless, Dobby in the end was redeemed as a developed character like Martin developed his ego in the book. But in the movie? WHO RUINS THE MOMENT BY SAYING THEY'RE BLUE? UH APPARENTLY IT'S MISTER ADDISON HERE. I mean, I do like the improvisation of Martin getting rejected in front of the whole campus instead of just that scenario in the book where they practice the play duringn Christmas break. But Martin Addison' s redemption in the film was far from redemption. But maybe the scriptwriters did that on purpose because people like Martin in the real do not deserve that kind of redemption. Oh well, they must live with covers on their cheeks because they're so straightforward. The thing is I wish they couldnhave redeemed Martin much better. But I shouldn't be ranting about this because Love, Simon is a BOOK ADAPTATION. Meaning it's not a clear xerox copy of the novel itself. But who knows? Got a point?
