Ten fucking minutes, she left him for ten fucking minutes. She just went to the bathroom and now there was this girl sitting on her chair trying to flirt with her boyfriend. What the actual fuck?

This was unbelievable!

She made her way towards Evan who, in his defense, wasn’t paying too much attention to the other girl. “Sorry I took so long, babe” Marlene said, cutting the girl in the middle of her unwanted speech and kissed Evan deeply, cupping his face with both hands.

He was surprised though not so much since Marlene tended to be a bit ridiculous during these situations. He kissed her back for a moment so she wouldn’t get upset but then pulled away.

She then wrapped her arm around Evan’s shoulders and leaned against him though she turned to face this girl. “You are in my seat” she said dryly. “And I’ll appreciate if you, not only stop flirting with my boyfriend but you get out of my seat” she deadpanned.

The girl didn’t need to be told twice and did as Marlene said while Evan shook his head disapprovingly. “You know, you are being ridiculous here” he said, though he still wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer.

“Rubbish” Marlene scoffed and then turned to face him. “Did she make a pass at you?” She asked seriously, ready to go and fight her.

“What? A pass? Are you crazy? She wasn’t here for more than ten minutes” he said, shaking his head disapprovingly.

Marlene narrowed her eyes but then her lips curved into a slight smirk. “I would’ve snogged you in less than five” she grinned to which Evan snorted first and then laughed.

“Of course you would” he said, shaking his head slowly as he pulled her closer to him. “So why aren’t you snogging me now?” He grinned.

“I still have a minute or so” she teased before leaning forward and kissed him fully on the lips. “I love you” she mumbled, brushing her lips against his.

“So very much” he replied before giving in to her entirely.

“I’m sorry, you need to buy a what?” He asked,quirking an eyebrow as he put the newspaper down.

On the floor were Andrew and Charlotte surrounded bytheir toys and trying to build a tall tower with their blocks. The two kidswere too focused on the task that they weren’t listening to their parentsconversation, not that they would’ve understand any of it, but still. Well,maybe Andrew would’ve, he was a very perceptive kid.

Marlene, on the other hand, was smiling a bit. WhileAndrew and Charlotte hadn’t been planned, she loved those kids more than herown life. But this time… well, this time they actually wanted another kid. Sheand Evan had been actively seeking for one and now Marlene was late, she wasthree weeks late.

“I said I have to buy a pregnancy test” she said calmly,though her lips were curved into a small smile.

“A pregnancy test?” He repeated, just to make sure heheard correctly.

“Yes” Marlene nodded, slightly amused as she moved tosit on her husband’s lap. “If you could watch the kids, I can go now” shesuggested as both Hazel and Arlo walked into the room.

“Awlo!” Charlotebeamed delightedly as the chocolate lab settled down by her side while Hazelapproached to Marlene.

“I can go” Evan offered, wrapping his arms around hermiddle and pulled her closer. “I can get it for you” he grinned before pressinga kiss to the side of her head.

Marlene sighed contently, leaning against him andclosed her eyes. “No, I’ll go… you wouldn’t know which one to buy” shechuckled, turning her face so she could kiss him briefly. “Like that time Iasked you to get me some tampons” she reminded him, her lips curved into anamused smirk.

“It was onetime and your instructions weren’t clear, you said, and I quote, ‘the pink box’.Turns out there are like four brands that have pink boxes, so you really can’tblame me for that” he said, pinching her side playfully.

“I use the same brand all the time and we have beentogether for a long time now” she retorted before standing up. “Just take careof the kids, I’ll be back soon, yeah?” She said, leaning over to press a briefbut passionate kiss on his lips. “I love you” she grinned.

“I love you more” he replied, mirroring her grin. “Andhurry up, I want to know” he said quite excitedly, reaching over to pet Hazelwho moved to sit by his side.

Marlene winked at him playfully before walking away,just as cheerfully – if not more – as her husband.
