First new gwenpool appearance this year I missed in Marvel Mutts 21! It’s really minor.. but isn’t it always

I swear every time she shows up in marvel mutts she has beef with a dog. Anyway I like how she’s colored and designed here, I love the dark pink rims around the goggles, and that her arm and leg guards match, and the little pink stripe on the neck, different but nice! (Although I think there’s a coloring error on her legs in the second panel..)

The Tragic Origin of Cosmo the Space Dog

Long ago, Cosmo used to be a test animal for the Soviet Space Program (СССР). When he was young, Cosmo played with other dogs (and one of them looks like the real-life Laika) in the lab kennels. Then, the dogs were taken to the training center where they went through series of grueling space tests. When the time came, Cosmo was chosen to be launched into Earth's orbit in a spacecraft. Before the launch, Cosmo faces the news media press and was given the spacesuit. On the countdown of the launch, Cosmo was given a rope toy as a goodbye gift from the other dog.

As the spacecraft launched into space, Cosmo was bombarded by cosmic rays which gave him psychic powers. Cosmo experiences his first time of using telepathy when he realizes that he would never see the other dogs again. Unlike the real-life Laika, Cosmo survived his trip to outer space. Thanks to the cosmic rays, Cosmo not only has psychic powers, he also has extended longevity which makes him outlive the other dogs from the past. Eventually, Cosmo's spacecraft drifted out of orbit until it landed on Knowhere.

I'm enjoying Marvel Mutts, but I honestly am not entirely sure if the Christmas special is meant to star America Chavez herself or Kamala Khan wearing America-Chavez-themed pyjamas because she is a fangirl...

Like, it's a cute either way, but it's a reflective of a larger issue that America's design is inconsistent enough that I am not sure... I think it's probably Kamala as she doesn't have the broad shoulders America had last issue, but uh. Idk.

If it is America, then I have to respect her for somehow finding time to both co-parent Jeff the Landshark with Kate and Gwen and co-parent mittens with Kamala... She must be portaling around like crazy to keep up with everything.
