jesi the demi to my selena. this girl and i have been friends for nearly three years and we talk about everything and it's safe to say that she is my soul mate and i can vent and rant to her about anything. (not even kidding, home girl gets all my liveblogs via skype and text and still loves me)

marvinmcfaddens: I could write essay's on why I love you so much. You've been my rock for almost 3 years now,, and seriously, I couldn't imagine not knowing you. I think back  to that day i decided to follow that blog who liked all my anti eli posts, and to think I almost decided not to, well, it makes me so glad I did. the tale as old as time of the damsel in distress and the hero who came to save her.

No, no. It's not one of those stories about the moping girl, too cynical to see life past the tip of her nose and some dashing young lad swoops on his white horse and helps her to see she's special.

No. Clare simply had no power.

She couldn't fly, breathe fire, or lift things ten times her weight. She was just a normal person.

Though she was sure, knowing him if he had had a flying horse it would have been involved the day they met.

It wasn't anything special, just your standard run-of-the-mill fire. Not a big deal. The school was burning and she was trapped, coughing hysterically from the smoke.

She'd seen the outcome before the event, sadly she just hadn't had time to warn anyone of the future. 

Meteors. What are the odds one would hit the school? Unlikely. If you guessed that, then congratulations, you're above average.

Clare didn't see the who, but she knew the how. In a world full of heroes it's obvious that villains lurk behind in the shadows. She'd seen the path alter somehow, but it'd been too late, it'd crashed and she was trapped and would be burned alive.

Coughing, she tried to stay low, but everything was blurring.

"Is anyone here? Can you hear me?!" 

Her throat was so raw from the smoke, she tried to call for the voice, but to no avail. Her eyes blurred and crossed and suddenly she was falling into the blackness.

"Oh no you fucking don't!" He snarled at her, grabbing her, giving her a gentle but firm shake. "Hey! C'mon, now! Stay with me!" He cursed, picking her up, looking for an exit. 

"KC!" a tall, dark skin boy with glasses shouted. "What are you doing? Put out the fire!"

"I have a survivor, take her! Just take her and go!" He shouted to his friend. Once she was away, he breathed. He'd barely gotten the hang of his power, but he had to try. With no one in his way he took a deep breath, holding it for moment. When he released, his breath came out in puffs, ice falling and melting due to the flames. He tried again, then again, until finally it held true. The fire went out, leaving the ash she frost and give the scene a more horrific and barren look.

KC took off, careful as he maneuvered through the ruined structure. Once he finally got out he saw her. She was on a gurney, a breathing mask covering her mouth. Her hair was strawberry blonde. Or it would have been if it weren't covered in soot. She looked fragile and pale, though he knew the truth: she was a survivor. The furthest thing from fragile there was.

"Man, what you did was stupid!" said his friend, Drew, as he punched him in the arm. Hard. "You almost let her die because you hesitated."

"She's alive, isn't she?" He deadpanned, not taking his eyes off the girl.

"This time."

KC sighed, turning to Connor. "No leads on who did this, huh?"

Connor bit his lip, as if he were more hesitant to answer than unsure. "Connor?"

"I have an idea, but if I'm wrong -"

"Connor!"

"You remember that guy? That weird guy who dropped out a semester ago?He could produce fire.."

"You don't mean that freak," Drew hissed.

KC looked over at the girl, she sat up, her blue eyes boring into his. He ran over to her, his friends screaming at him to come back.

"You know, don't you." He asked. No questions of how she was. No smiles, nothing. He looked at her, his eyes never leaving hers.

"You saved me from him," she whispered. "He'll probably kill you. He already tried to kill me."

KC's eyes narrowed. "It wasn't a -"

"It was a big ball of fire. Like the sun. I should have known."

He didn't know why he did it. It was wrong to do it in hindsight, considering how vulnerable she was from near death and the knowledge that someone she loved had tried to kill her, but he kissed her sooty forehead and smiled. "Hey, no one's gonna hurt you, okay? You leave that flame-o to us. We'll protect you."

And somehow, average Clare Edwards believed that.

So okay today is Tori'sbirthday and I have no creative skills. No photoshop. No movie makers. But I'm here to say that Tori is one of the greatest people I know and she's simply the kindest and sweetest person, and I'm so lucky to have known her all these years. I love you, Tori. You're one of the greatest treasures on this planet, so drink up bitch! You're now legal in America!
