More Epic: the Cards Saga

Basically Athena from Epic and Masou from the CARDS WEBTOON by @arty-e have swapped places in their respective stories lol (first drawing I did with this concept).

This is just a fun little crossover I made because Arty-E/Ella made an animatic with the song Little Wolf, but with the characters from her comic and I thought it’d be funny if Athena suddenly appeared out of nowhere in Ella’s animatic. This is not serious and it’s just for fun.

Anyways here’s some drawings.

Athena and Mercury

Transcript:

Mercury: Hey, Athena, what if I did *insert stupid idea*

Athena: Oh he’s worse than Odysseus.

Mercury: Who’s Odysseus?

Athena: He…was a friend of mine…I was trying to appear to his son to help him, but somehow I ended up here.

Mercury: You say “was.” Are you not friends anymore?

Athena: You could say that…

Flashback:

Athena: Odysseus, listen to me.

Odysseus: YOU’RE ALONE!!

So uh I drew a comic featuring @arty-e 's OCs. The only thing I know about Valerie is that she's a stabby child with a dead mom. I thought of this piece of dialogue and immediately thought of her, sorry 👊😔. But like I actually really like how this turned out and the characters were very fun to draw especially Valerie, I love her design.

@anassarhenisch tagged me for my last 5-star read which was Deception (Lady Grace Mysteries #4).

So these books are diaries written by Grace Cavendish, a Maid-of-Honor to Queen Elizabeth II and the Lady Pursivant, that is, detective to the queen, and they are great.

When I took the first one out of the library I expected it to be fun but not amazing. I was immediately sucked into the story. Even though they’re kids books every time I pick I’m immediately sucked in.

All the small and large details really make you feel like you have been there with Grace all the way. The weird acne creams, the exciting candy, the queen’s temper tantrums, all make it seem so real.

Plus, if you don’t understand a word there’s a glossary in the back (and a small history of what Queen Elizabeth’s court was really like), but the author almost always manages to put in the strange things in such a way that you understand what they mean and don’t feel explained to.

Plus, one of Grace’s best friends, Masou, is Muslim and black so points for diversity.
