What's new on Mass Effect Lore? On the website itself nothing because I need to work on it. But on the Google Drive folder, many new things.

CODEX :

Mass Effect Andromeda codex is now available

ME1 Codex, ME2 Codex, ME3 Codex now have page numbers and table of contents to navigate more easily between entries

The file explaining the difference between each game's codex is now only about the trilogy. I'm working on differences between trilogy and MEA codex but it will be in a new separate file.

TRANSCRIPTS:

The transcripts are always a work in progress if you don't see all dialogue options available.

New transcripts available:

ME3: Added Citadel DLC - Elevator conversations with all the squadmates options.

ME1 Normandy Conversations : Liara, Tali and Ashley. That means, with Garrus, Wrex and Kaidan, all squadmate ME1 Normandy conversations are now available ! They're in a Normandy Conversations new subfolder. The ME1 Normandy conversations don't have the romance conversations but I'm working on it. They will be in a separate transcript. I'll also mix them all together for romanceable squadmates for those who want them all together. I'll also include the love triangle scenes.

I keep editing the transcripts to make them more coherent according to our rules, to fix errors and/or to add more dialogue options. You can find the changes I make, and don't always publish here, on this MEL change logs file.

What if you find a error in the codex and/or transcripts?

Let's say you're looking at the Ash conversation transcript and something is not right with the dialogue tree or I didn't add an option I should have add? Or the description has a mistake? Or the scenes are not in the right order?

You need to tell me!!!!!!! No, you will not be rude. You will do me A FAVOR. I absolutely need you to inform me if something is not right.

My philosophy with those transcripts and everything I do on MEL is that it's better to have things out there even if they're not perfect than have nothing at all. STILL, I make mistakes, I get really confused by a conversation and how to put it in a transcript format sometimes. So tell me! I would also welcome all comments regarding readability and/or accessibility.

Haestrom - Codex

Transcript:

Formerly a quarian colony, Haestrom was established to observe the phenomena on Dholen, the system's parent star. Dholen appeared to be unstable with a high possibility of erupting prematurely into a red giant.

Haestrom was lost to the geth in 1896 CE. Soon after, all communication from the planet and its attendant space stations ceased. The geth have shown no signs of treating Dholen as a threat over the past three centuries other than establishing several space stations near it. Dholen's magnetic eruptions and solar output overwhelm most communications near it, and it is unclear how the geth have compensated.

Today, spy probe scans indicate extensive orbital construction around Haestrom, housing thousands of geth platforms and an unknown number of geth software "minds." It is not known how many geth are on the planet's surface: spy probes face interference from Dholen, making remote scanning difficult. Resource estimations based on geth mining,refining, and fabricating practices suggest that the planet has at least 20 more years of use before it is exhausted. Intelligence experts speculate that the geth have not exploited all of their resources because they wish to keep some in reserve for repairs.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: Haestrom is a geth stronghold. Military spy drones using cutting- edge stealth technology are the only vehicles that have returned unharmed from geth space. All civilian traffic is prohibited.

Tyr is compositionally quite similar to Earth. However, it lies over 4 AU from Asgard, and possesses an atmosphere primarily composed of nitrogen and ethane. While a potential target for terraforming, the presence of the "shirt sleeves" habitable Terra Nova in the same system relegated Tyr to a support role.

Nearly a hundred corporations--human and alien--have constructed extensive teleoperated mining, refining, and manufacturing facilities across the face of Tyr. Combined with the platinum lodes of Terra Nova, the resources they produce are driving development of the local hydrogen fuel cell industries. The Asgard system now supplies nearly 4% of the galactic market.

Benning, the nearest garden world to Arcturus Station, is the primary source of the military station’s food supply and an important staging area for starship maintenance and repair. It boasts a rich agricultural system and fertile land. Over the years it has also become home to Alliance comm buoys, spaceports, and starships. Its population consists mostly of Alliance Military personnel, because of its proximity to Arcturus Station. It is just a short relay jump to Earth.

AHL: Shadow Broker Dossiers ― Kaidan’s Journal Entries

Liaison Notes: 2211

Entry 1

Director Lawson just abruptly reassigned me to a new post. None of us ever saw it coming. To say that my boss, Supervisor Finnegan, was upset about being blindsided by the unexpected transfer would be quite the understatement.

I suppose there's not much we can do at this point. Lawson's been pretty quiet about her reasons. According to the files her chief of staff sent me, I'm to supposedly act as a liaison to a military vessel in the Alliance Navy; answerable only to the Director herself. "Lieutenant" is what the brass is calling me now.

Which Alliance vessel I'm to be stationed on, I don't know. But we'll see soon enough.

Entry 2

This turns out to be quite the surprise. I'm to be stationed on the Normandy, where I'll be working closely with Uncle Vega. The crew so far has been good to me, though I noticed several glances from some of Vega's squadmates. Suspicion, doubts, even inclined to spreading rumors.

One of them, Serviceman Raleigh Thorndyke, was rather "vocal" about it. Didn't take long for Vega to issue a verbal reprimand. But I've handled cases like Thorndyke before.

Entry 3

I've been monitoring the squad's behavioral patterns after our first deployments in the Attican Traverse. The following evaluations will be forwarded to Director Lawson as required by Alliance regulation 37B, section code 4-4-2-1:

―The problem with Serviceman Thorndyke continues to remain the same, as if he's intentionally trying to provoke me. He still believes that my upbringing had something to do with my being here. Rather childish for an Alliance soldier, I must say. His hot-headed nature and poor teamwork skills will likely prove to be problematic. Will refrain from disciplinary actions if further evaluations prove unfruitful.

―Corporal Jasmine Ramirez was kind enough to lend me a copy of her mission reports for review. Further observations show that while Ms. Ramirez is cooperative, she tends to be antsy during off-duty hours. Likely as a result of being focused on the task at hand; perhaps a bit too focused. Will likely recommend Vega to at least schedule some downtime to relieve stress.

―Records show that Gunnery Chief Ryan Murphy's technical scores and tech skills are exemplary, though not without concerns of whether or not he might push the envelope with his personal VI "Madonna". Alliance Command has expressed their concerns about whether or not he could one day go off the deep end and pursue illegal AI research.

―2nd Lieutenant Ricardo Vasquez remains as vigilant as he is with keeping morale high, something Vega appears to appreciate. One in which I'm more inclined to agree. Being able to keep a level-head while under fire and accomplish the mission with minimal damage is commendable.

Entry 4

I suppose I can't express my surprise to learn Serviceman Thorndyke was discharged for insubordination; guess Alliance Command finally had enough with his behavior.

And perhaps my being here has shown me some things that I wasn't able to understand when I was a child. It's felt like months, but the squad seems to have accepted me as one of their own. The more missions we undertake, the closer we become. I asked Vega if things were like this when my Dad was in charge and all I got was "nowhere even close by a longshot, but [he] likes to believe it's somewhat like it."

Director Lawson in the meantime has granted me permission to remain on the Normandy as an Intelligence liaison. With that being said, it's time to get back to work. Or as Dad would say, "I should go."
