According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia deployed a staggering 74 missiles and 496 long-range drones.

The strike caused widespread damage across all districts, partially collapsing a multi-story residential building in the Darnitskyi District and hitting over 30 locations, including an ambulance station and a hotel. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko described the assault as the “most massive” of the war on the capital and has declared July 3 a day of mourning.

Russia launched a massive combined attack using dozens of missiles and hundreds of drones overnight on July 6, killing at least 14 people and injuring 60 others, including five children. The strikes directly targeted Kyiv and the surrounding region for the second time in four days, partially destroying a multi-story apartment block in the Podilskyi district and hitting residential buildings across three other districts.

Responding to the attack, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that while air defenses successfully intercepted many drones and cruise missiles, they remain unable to stop ballistic missiles due to a critical shortage of Patriot interceptor systems. Zelensky urged U.S. and European allies ahead of the upcoming NATO summit to make “strong decisions,” warning that delayed defense aid only encourages Russia to keep hitting residential areas.

The massive attack targeted cities across Ukraine with a total of 73 missiles and 656 drones, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. While air defenses successfully intercepted 40 missiles and 602 drones, multiple regions suffered severe damage and heavy casualties.

#Repost @kyivindependent_official with @use.repost . . . Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack against Ukraine on the morning of Aug. 26, killing seven people, injuring nearly 50 others, and targeting the country’s energy infrastructure once again.

In a post on Telegram, President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 100 missiles and 100 drones had been used in the “dastardly” attack.

Rescue operations were completed by 8:30 p.m., the State Emergency Service said. Almost 740 rescue workers were involved in the response to the attacks.

Across Ukraine, seven people were killed and 47 were injured, according to the State Emergency Service. Among the wounded were four children, with the youngest less than a year old.
