Master Archivist and The Armorer
I was reading this fic (Very good so far, completed and part of a series, DinLuke. it is locked tho, so you need an ao3 account) and It got me thinking about how Din, or any Mandalorians really, would deeply respect Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, the Master Archivist.
The Jedi title for the one in charge of the Library, Archives and Holocron Vault of the Jedi Order has a couple of different names. Chief Librarian, Lead Archivist, Master Archivist. But it all boils down to the head Jedi in charge of the History and texts of the Jedi Order. Master Nu is the Jedi you go to when seeking knowledge and guidance.
And I can't help but think that that is very similar to the role of a Mandalorian Armorer. The Armorer is a Deeply respected role in Mandalorian culture, yes, because the Armorer is the one to make the armor and weapons of the clan, but also because the Armorer is the one that holds the Clans history. They hold the knowledge of past Armorers, past down to them through word. The clan goes to the Armorer for protection, knowledge and guidance.
And now I can't help but imagine an interaction between Din and Master Nu where this is acknowledged. Like, I'm sure Master Nu and her position are respected in the order, I don't doubt that. But it must be a real confidence booster to have this intimidating Mandalorian, armed to the teeth with dozens of weapons, who somehow also has the Darksaber, in full Beskar Armor, kneeling before you, radiating unwavering respect, and asking for guidance and knowledge on how to get home.
idk, just a WIP idea I might work on later, but I wanted to get the initial thoughts out before I forgot. If anyone else wants to do anything with prompt go for it! just tag me in it cause id definitely wanna see it!
